My Grandma, born in 1924, always told stories of the dances down at the town hall every weekend and how everyone would be there. It’s where she met a young man named Gilbert once before he left for WWII. Turns out that Gilbert was shipmates with her brother, my Great Uncle Frank. My Uncle Frank, being a good friend to Gilbert, wrote to my Grandma about how this young man had no one to write to him from home so my Grandma started to write to Gilbert. Well. When the war was over he wrote to bring his sister with her the train station and buy two tickets because he wanted to marry her. The girls had to tell them at the train station that they were going to meet their husbands at the coast, otherwise they wouldn’t let them go—it was chaos there. My Grandma and his sister rode the train from Missouri to San Francisco in September 1945, rented a two-room apartment for two weeks and waited for Gilbert and my Uncle Frank to disembark from their ship. Women were given strict orders not to leave their homes because they were being assaulted in the streets. After two weeks they all met at a church in Oakland, CA where my Grandma married Gilbert. They were married for 58 years before my Grandpa passed away. They were everything to me.

The beginning of the Ministry of Silly Walks.

I wish I saw this video before I got married not because I would have married someone else but because I would have done this dance in my wedding

2025, me when I can’t find the bathroom 😂

I didn't know they had robots that far back.

And they say "white men can't dance" ... 🤷♀️

Thats basically a Friday night in Dublin after an evening of drinking Guinness. The dance was invented by Guinness to disguise how drunk you were.

Can @UnitreeRobotics G1 do it?

Old Ireland Brian. He is actually in this 40's no joke. And that show is called the late late show in Ireland. Ireland's longest chat show

Looks more like the 40s
