1977 vs 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser

47 years from now the new one will be long dead and the old one will still be going.

Yeah... I'll take the '77, thanks.

If car companies were still allowed to build and sell a Land Rover as simple and rugged as that '77 without all the govt mandated complexity (and cost) built into today's cars, they could probably deliver it for under $20k and sell a million of them a year.

77 is 1000x better make that again. i want man powered everything. i want no chips, no cams, no wifi, no power windows, no self driving, a regular basic key to unlock and start my car. this would make something everyone could afford.

I have a beautiful ‘78 and I wouldn’t trade it for the new one.

That old Land Cruiser looks so much better than the new one

64 edition of FJ40

The '77 Toyota will still look the same in another 50 years. Solid .

Just got 78s engine going as part of the frame off, solo restoration

'77 for me....analogue and indestructable!
