1985 FA Cup Final #MUFC Norman Whiteside

@NormanWhiteside And there’s this version! 👌#MUFC

@NormanWhiteside Me and my mates as kids were straight on the field trying to recreate the goal and the excitement of winning the FA Cup after that..🙌🏻🇾🇪

@NormanWhiteside As a kid, I watched this game twice a week for years

@NormanWhiteside I remember watching this ❤️

@NormanWhiteside That game lives in my memory up to now as I was watching it live all the way from Kuwait 1st red card in history of an FA Cup final when Kevin Moran was sent off by referee Peter Willis and I was fortunate to meet him in 1995 and published that interview for the local magazine

@NormanWhiteside One of the sweetest finishes Wembley has ever seen - and what about that Mark Hughes pass?

@NormanWhiteside I was there.. watched that ball curl towards me then got lost in a crush of bodies 😂 Despite everything we went on to win… still one of the sporting highlights of my life. Thank you 👍🏼

@NormanWhiteside That pass 👌

@NormanWhiteside It was a great final and a great goal to win it. To beat Big Nev from that angle was some feat!!

@NormanWhiteside As an Everton fan I was distraught as a kid watching this by denying us the treble

@NormanWhiteside I was there with my brother

@NormanWhiteside I celebrated that win by getting the drunkest I have ever been. Never been that hammered before or since.

@NormanWhiteside I still reminisce about this goal. I actually shed a tear when Kevin Moran got sent off & thought.. game over, we’ve lost🙄. Then big Norm scored this gem of a goal..had to be perfection to curl it passed Neville Southall from the edge of the box.

@NormanWhiteside Iconic commentary from JM. Amazing pass from Hughes and the finish was perfection. One of the best cup final goals

@NormanWhiteside The greatest FA cup winning goal ever!!!!

@NormanWhiteside Remember it well 👍

@NormanWhiteside Poor Big Ron could not even last 6 months after this win!

@NormanWhiteside The beauty of Big Norm’s goal means people often miss the phenomenal Sparky control and pass to set it up.

@NormanWhiteside Poetry

@NormanWhiteside Great goal from a wonderful pass ❤️❤️

@NormanWhiteside Great goal from stormin norman, and it won't me a few bob that result....

@NormanWhiteside Big Ron n Kev always make me smile almost as much as the goal itself on this one. Like an early version of Fergie & Kiddo vs Sheff Wed.

@NormanWhiteside Emotional!!! What a day ❤️

@NormanWhiteside I was there. Happy days.

@NormanWhiteside What a day what a goal what a player thank you

@NormanWhiteside Remember it like yesterday! 11 years old!

@NormanWhiteside Beating a great Everton team as well.

@NormanWhiteside I was right behind the goal when that went in!

@NormanWhiteside Lost quite a nice watch on the terraces when that went in

@NormanWhiteside The pass, though........

@NormanWhiteside ❤️❤️

@NormanWhiteside This was one of those "I know exactly where I was on that special day" moments!

@NormanWhiteside "Norman Whiteside has done it....again"

@NormanWhiteside Still don’t know how you got that in from that angle 🐐
