I was a kid in Santa Monica to Venice in 1986 and can report it was kinda like this. Lots of blond hair, skateboards, attitude. The Latina gals were into heavy metal, too.

We only had two ways out of the streets...Skate Or Die.

Thrashin' and RAD were my favorite movies during my bmx/skate days.

Was at Venice Beach a few weeks ago and was shocked to see it looking cleaner with slightly less homeless
