1989, Cheap Trick.

April 1 of every year is 'Cheap Trick Day' in the State of Illinois. Of course, it's April 1st...IYKYK. They original Cheap Trick home base house is just a half mile from my parents former home in Rockford, IL. It's set back in a private 'exclusive' area on the near-north side, but one can see the backside and rear yard area from the street that runs into downtown Rockford. For a while in the 1990s there were lots of "rowdy party" reports when the band (or someone) in town.

Saw them at the high school gymnasium in Bemidji MN 82 or so. My sister got a guitar pick which he flipped out dozens of.

My back hurt then watching him 🤣

To this day the loudest show I ever saw.

They put on a good show. Went to at least 4 concerts in the 80s. One at Jack Murphy stadium. Cheap Trick, Beach Boys, Joan Jett opened.

Cool, I saw them once live front row in a small club in NYC in the early 1990's. They are a great show to watch.

Love Rick Nielsen but no one needs a five neck guitar.

From Chicago. I saw them in concert at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) on December 3, 1983 (“Next Position Please” tour). Got to meet the band backstage through a mutual acquaintance. The girl I took to that concert was very impressed. Great Night. Great memories. ❤️ to Kris T. wherever you are.

Madison, Wisconsin 1975: Most Bands were 1 dollar entrance fee. Cheap Trick was 2 Bucks. ( Kinda worth it)

Do you think the guitar was a cheap trick?

Cheap Trick always seemed like they were having as much fun as the crowd. They never acted like rock stars from some distant planet. They felt like the guys down the road who happened to write a bunch of great songs and plug in the guitars. 🎸😊

Rick

Rolling numbers on the couch

Imagine tuning that thing

One of the best live bands you’ll ever see it’s a party just like a RUSH concert ! Nonstop, energy. They’re there for their fan base true touring band.

I love this

Fun fact: Gillette was inspired by Rick Nielsen's custom Quint by Hamer, but he turned them down when asked to endorse the Fusion5. [🤣]

I saw them on this tour.

Yup, saw that live several times :)

That looks like the show they opened for AC/DC and Ranbow

@Kellen_the_man WBS

Seen so many times

👍🏻

The tunes

Stiv Bators

Damn fine band

Is that a Hamer?

Love them! Each member had a distinct personality. Sadly they recently got rid of Bun E. Carlos, the drummer.

Fun good band to me

The two banger is obnoxious. This is just pointlessly ridiculous.

Excellent band. They still bring it to this day.

Is this meant to be cool, funny? Looks embarrassing

Scene them and it was CRAZY GOOD!
