@JessSettlesHoop And played at Veterans memorial auditorium. Will never be a place like it, ever. Sad

#Capitanes #Kings #NBAGLEAGUE

@JessSettlesHoop You can also find the championship game from his sophomore yr (where he dropped 39 I believe) when they beat iowa mennonite for the title as well from the year before that..

@JessSettlesHoop I was hoping to find that game on a tape up in our attic archives, but couldn't locate it. This was the best I could track down unfortunately.

@JessSettlesHoop The "Roland Rocket" Gary Thompson on the call.

@JessSettlesHoop Great Aplington teams that could really shoot the ball. When they used to give REAL basketball trophies out also. Not the generic wood plaques they give out nowadays. Also remember fan backboards.

@JessSettlesHoop It was a solid 4A field in 92.

@JessSettlesHoop @jkonicek74 ,this is pretty cool

@JessSettlesHoop Is Darian even in this clip?

@JessSettlesHoop He’s #12 for Aplington. You’ve gotta look closely haha. We have scant archive footage of that team in the 90s.

@JessSettlesHoop Was there
