/ Introducing Agent Protocol: the payment stack for AI agents AI agents don’t have a SSN. They can’t use our human banking system. AI agents will use crypto. Agent Protocol provides the infra and token ($AGENT) that the AI agent economy will run on.

/ Agents are AIs that can "do stuff." Almost all the value in AI will be agents, not chatbots. However, agents need a way to pay for tools to accomplish tasks (software, data, compute, other AI agents).

/ Despite AI agents being the hottest space in web2, there is little to no payment tooling. That’s because AI agents are still dumb. They can’t plan cohesively & can’t be trusted with resources. But once GPT-5 or GPT-6 drops and agents start working, they need payment infra.

/ We’re building a software development kit for AI agent developers to enable their agents to transact. That includes provisioning funds, and transaction execution via virtual cards & crypto.

/ Importantly, we’re agnostic about how you’re building agents. We don’t force you to use a native blockchain or agent framework. Like Stripe, anyone can integrate Agent Protocol with a few lines of code.

/ We’re built for a web2 present and a web3 future. 99% of the best AI agent builders are in web2 and almost every enterprise vendor doesn’t accept crypto. Virtual credit cards allow agents to work out of the box today, while longer term all payments will transition to crypto.
