In my first full day yesterday, I completed 11 Robotaxi rides. My longest wait time has been 8 minutes. I would say average wait time was close to 4 minutes. I’ve encountered zero issues during my rides so far. A few pickup locations in the neighborhood haven’t been perfect, they could’ve been closer. But when it drops me off, it goes right in front of the home which is good. Easily fixable, I would like to see a location pin added in the future. I find the software version on these cars to be VERY confident, and aggressive — in a good way. The driving experience is incredibly smooth, you can’t compare it to any UBER human driver imo. Miles better. Overall so far, it’s feels much more polished to actually use it in person than watching it online. This is no Mickey Mouse launch, Tesla put an extreme amount of work into this, and it shows. The moment these scales and there’s millions on the road, it’s going to dominate. Wait times will be non existent, and prices will be able to undercut the competition due to scale. It’s gonna be fun to witness how this unfolds out.

My Thoughts on R2 after my time with it! Short review! First, Rivian completely nailed this thing. I love the positioning of the driver seats. That long front nose gives a nice commanding feel. They will sell each and every one of these! Driving impression/suspension: 9/10 I felt the vehicle has good build quality. It felt *tight* and secure. Power delivery was smooth and crisp in all-purpose. Sport mode fella unlocked and ready for all the fun things. Power is rapid and consistent with a full power moment around 35-40mph, all the power is there. There is a good amount of nose rise during a hard acceleration. But I do feel the suspension was working well to control this. Remember this isn’t an air suspension. It’s a coil suspension. There is a difference between the suspension setting soft was SOFT. Firm was stiff but not overly stiff. It didn’t have that bouncing effect that some vehicles can have when going into firm suspension. Moderate was a good balance. I wish it could be more adaptive in moderate but it’s very very good. Turn in was good, and the turning radius was excellent. Switching from D to R for a 3-point turn was smooth and quick, no jerkiness. Very good control over entrance to parking lots. Stable. Lastly, it feels like the small delay some R1 have in throttle is gone with R2. Software: 8/10 This is where you guys know I am hard on them on. Because I want the best they can give. Rivian OS2.0 is a HUGE upgrade over R1. In all cases. Responsiveness, touch input, speed, app switching, keyboard responsiveness, etc., it is a huge difference. I love the new “fish stick” bar. And settings being available with one tap and being app-dependent first is fantastic. Well done Wassym Bensaid, the halo are great. The only thing about them is while driving, it’s hard to get a direct click, especially when trying to use it to switch drive modes where you have to push towards you. The halo likes the spin/move, but I think I just need to get used to it. Living with it would for sure help with that. I’m really hoping they fully unlock customization for them. You can end up with 8 different characters you could adjust. I really like having the driver display. But driving with it, you can notice how much smaller it is compared to R1. It’s no deal breaker, but it’s noticeable. Cameras felt snapper and of higher quality over Gen 2 R1. The turn signal sounds is new I like it as well as the forward and Evers noise it makes. Think Tesla sound when shifting. Audio: Now I’ve experienced R2 3x now. With 2 times with audio. The audio was significantly better than when I got to sit it in, in Miami for a block party. It’s about as good as R1 is now. There did feel like a sub was there. That’s great. I used my Apple Music account so I could listen to the song I love. And it was great. Not perfect but good enough. Long as it’s comparable to R1, it’s okay. Cabin: It was very well appointed. I actually found it sufficiently quiet. 🤫 I think for sure it’s quieter than my R1T without question. The HVAC system design (air vent) I like better than R1. I feel like the HVAC system now can blow the air on better than trying to. I need more time to test preconditioning because that’s where I’ve seen most of the issues with my R1 vehicles. Tons of space, easy to drop the seats, it’s flat, and nice under-floor space. The 1-touch drop for all windows was excellent. Overall: I think this is the Rivian everyone has been waiting for. This will be a fantastic one-car solution for so many families. There is storage for days, off-road abilities a Model Y can’t even think of doing, but the UHF needs to improve quicker than it currently is because that is really becoming a buying decision for people. Tim and I can’t wait to take delivery of our R2 Rivian; we are ready! Feel free to ask me anything about the R2! I’ll do my best to answer it or get you the answer. It’s a 10/10 for so many people.

8 drives in with FSD v14.1.2 and here are my thoughts: First off, Mad Max mode is AMAZING in traffic. Drove down to Hawthorne on my first drive in rush hour and it cut through traffic so well. An hour drive without any human input was great. The other Speed Profiles seem like they make slightly more difference than before. Standard is perfect on city streets, hurry is a bit quicker and the lane changes are more assertive than v14.1.1. Mad Max is a bit quick at times on city streets with nobody around, as expected. The assertive lane changes are my second favorite change, after mad max. It doesn’t wait around a bit like v14.1 and v14.1.1, it commits and sends it if safe, love it. I have NOT really seen any brake stutter yet, seems gone so far. I saw one instance of slight steering wheel shaking but that’s it over the last few hours. Few things to note with Mad Max. It’s fast, but it’s very safe. It’s not going to cut people off- it makes great decisions and they’re clearly calculated. It is NOT like the Altima with a missing bumper you see flying through traffic, it’s very controlled and I love it. This is exactly what we needed for LA and it’s almost how I like to drive through traffic and how you have to drive through LA. Lane changes in each profile seem improved in this build too. Definitely noticeably better and more confident. With parking garages, I’m seeing good performance, but to note- 1 of 4 garage attempts so far it went further from the ticket booth than it used to. Feels like maybe .1 had better lot performance, but I’m going to a lot of driving tonight to make sure. It definitely obeys no right on red signs, I’ve seen it listen to every single one perfectly so far, even obscure signs. It moves over for lane splitting motorcycles well before I can see them- this increases safety for everyone especially the motorcyclists and they appreciate it. A couple of them have waved at me tonight alone to thank me. Moved over for the two construction zones I have encountered thus far, and slowed down. Standard seems like the Goldilocks profile when on city streets with no traffic to follow- doesn’t speed much and usually travels at the perfect speed. Mad max is fast when nobody around- but really good speed control when there’s cars on the road. When you enable FSD from park, I love how quickly it gets going. If it’s safe, it goes right away, feels like it’s always waiting and ready to go. Pretty awesome improvement over v13 and continually impresses me. Autosteer and TACC are back, will get some miles accumulated on autosteer for those wondering if it’s changed at all, but I don’t think it has much if it did. Here’s a 15 minute zero intervention drive just now from Santa Monica supercharger to Rodeo Drive, where it obeyed a one way sign to the little parking lot and went the next entrance in once it saw. I’m going to drive this more through the night, and then will take it out during rush hour a lot. Huge shoutout to Tesla AI teams for getting these releases out so quickly. They’re making magic happen. More to come, but I’m loving what I’m seeing!

The Best Cliff Jumping Spot in Michigan If you can't jump into Lake Superior from Blackrocks in Marquette, you probably couldn't last a winter in the U.P. By Jack Ducote Hemlock Hobo Marquette — In the Upper Peninsula, summer moves fast. While the rest of the state deals with bad weather, winter in the U.P. is a different beast. That means Yoopers try to make the most of the limited summer they have. They excel at cramming as much activity as possible into three beautiful months before the cold comes calling again. And they are tough! When you live in a place where there can be blizzards in May and snow piles 6 feet high, you either toughen up or leave. Both factors come together 5 minutes north of Marquette at Presque Isle Park. It’s a little outcrop of rocks and forest that juts into Lake Superior. You know you’re close when you pass the super tankers loading up with iron ore. It’s a gorgeous place to picnic or go for a run, but the real attraction is the Blackrocks, exposed slabs of rock surrounded by deep, clear water. In a state that is relatively flat, it’s one of the best cliff jumping spots you can find. If you’ve been cliff jumping before, the Blackrocks aren't much of a challenge. At its highest point, it’s maybe 20 feet from the top to the water. It’s an easy jump that is easily conquerable by the ordinary Joe. It only gets difficult when you hit the water and realize it’s 45 degrees. Lake Superior is cold year-round, but in early June, when I jumped, the water was freezing because the ice only melted two months ago. Hitting the water felt like taking an ice bath. The swim to shore is way longer than it looks from the cliff and can be pretty dangerous if you aren’t prepared. One local told me he liked to snorkel and rock hound in the water around the cliffs, and he was decked out in a full wetsuit to keep the cold at bay. He often has to pull tourists out of the water who jump in and can’t handle the cold. Blackrocks is more than just a tourist spot. For locals, it’s something more. Every town has a must-see place and for Marquette, that’s Blackrocks. It’s a perfect distillation of the Marquette experience. You’re surrounded by a lake so vast it feels like an ocean. In the summer, the cliffs are prettier than anywhere in the U.P. And yet the cold water lurks below, just like how the winter is on everyone’s mind, even during the brightest and hottest summer days. If you can’t jump from here, then you aren’t going to make it in Marquette. Jumping proves you’re tough enough to handle the cold, that you have the fortitude necessary to handle all the extremes the Upper Peninsula can throw at you. But it also proves that you know how to let loose and enjoy the moment. Marquette is a weird city, and I mean that as a complement. It’s full of crystal stores, secondhand clothing shops, and fusion restaurants. There are normal people living normal lives to be sure, but most people don’t move there just to work a 9-5. There are better places to live in Michigan for that. Marquette’s remote, it’s cold, it’s relatively small. The people who move to Marquette are different. They want that remoteness. It took me a week to write this because it’s been heavy on my mind & one question stayed with me. How are you, KTR, handling so much propaganda every single day? Maybe because you know the love for you is far bigger than all this noise. From calling him arrogant to every other name, This is a costly, well planned campaign to attack his character. Before I say what I feel, let me put this out. Any party can improve, any leader can do better, that’s normal. But as a person, he stands far above those politicians who are ready to sell their character for a few votes. And what exactly is his mistake? He left a comfortable life to stand beside his father & fight for a state. He gave everything during the agitation. He became one of the most loved ministers in the country. For over two decades, he’s been giving his time, energy and heart to public service. Is that a mistake? In last two years. He has been on the road nonstop, from LRS, electricity prices, Hydraa, farmers land issues, auto drivers, welfare… he showed up everywhere people needed him. So if someone says otherwise, it’s only because they don’t want to accept the truth. And here’s why many politicians fear him. He can speak at Harvard with ease & also connect with people on the street with the same ease. That balance is rare. KTR, no matter how hard they try to pull you down, they’re only helping your story grow louder. The future is inevitable. And it will only bring you more chances to serve more people in your own way!

Tim Walz’s Hunting Gaffe Explained:🧵 I’ve done a lot of pheasant hunting. As a high schooler, I made extra $ assisting guides on pheasant hunts: getting the hunters in the field, flushing game for them to easily shoot, and making sure they are safe. And much more since those days. You learn to spot the guys who are a potential danger to themselves and others. Everything about them is new: the shotgun, the gear, the clothing. They look like they’ve just stepped out of an LL Bean catalog. This isn’t meant as a criticism. But if you’re leading the hunt it’s a visual clue that he’s probably new to this and, in his excitement, he went to his local hunting store bought all the gear in an effort to look like one of the guys. It tells you to keep an eye on him and to be ready to offer quiet instruction so as not to embarrass him. I don’t fault Walz for clearly being inexperienced with firearms and hunting. Anyone who is proficient in either had to learn sometime. For most of us, I think, the scorn heaped upon him is due to the fraudulent nature of it all. What VP candidate takes a day off to go hunting? Well, they don’t unless they see it as a photo op. Dems realize Americans think Walz is a beta male weirdo, so some campaign genius said, “I got it! He’ll go hunting! He’ll look manly!” With the exception of “The Natural,” I generally hate sports movies because the lead actor usually looks like he’s never played sports in his life. Watching Walz handle a shotgun is like watching Keanu Reeves throw a football in “The Replacements.” It’s painful. (Robert Redford was believable as an aging baseball player because he clearly played the game as a boy. Same with Kevin Costner in “For the Love of the Game.”) In this video, Walz appears to be having difficulty loading his shotgun while on a pheasant hunt. He tells the reporter, whose questioning tone suggests she’s not buying any of this, that it’s a Beretta A400. The A400 is a semi-auto shotgun. Many guides don’t allow semi-autos on a hunt because they can’t see at a distance that you’re “safe.” A break-action double-barrel is therefore preferred since they can tell when your gun cannot be fired (be it loaded or not). This is because the barrel is on a hinge that “breaks” open to permit manual loading. And this is very important for safety. I would wager that most accidental shotgun deaths involve semi-autos. This is all the more important in pheasant hunting. Unlike, say, deer hunting where you might sit in a tree all day long by yourself, pheasant hunting is typically done in large groups where the hunters are arranged in a crescent and marched through a field toward “blockers,” that is, hunters who stand still in a line. The idea is to drive the birds into the blockers and force them to flight. Hunting in such close proximity with other hunters can be dangerous for a variety of reasons: the birds fly parallel to the ground at head level, excitable hunters start blasting away at everything that moves or don’t wait for the birds to reach a safe height, accidental discharges, etc. A guide wants to see that your weapon is open and therefore inoperable in all but the hunt. The loading port on the A400 is beneath the weapon near the trigger guard. This type of loading is an acquired skill, and Walz doesn’t have it. It’s hard to believe it’s already been 100 days since I received my Neuralink N1 implant. Looking back, the whole journey feels like science fiction that somehow became my everyday reality. The surgery on Day 0 was surprisingly easy. A quick general anaesthetic, a small incision, and the robotic system did the rest — precisely placing the 1,024 ultra-thin threads into my motor cortex. I woke up alert and in good spirits and went home the next afternoon. By Day 3 I was feeling a lot better, and by Day 7 the little scar was already starting to fade. Recovery was genuinely minimal; I felt sharper and more positive than I had been in years after the BCI was turned on. The real fun started in Week 2 when we paired the implant with my brand-new Apple MacBook (my very first Mac). The Neuralink engineers walked me through calibration sessions, and within a couple of minutes I was moving the cursor just by thinking. At first it felt like trying to remember a dream, but by Week 3 it was second nature. Scrolling, clicking, typing — all mind-controlled. The Mac integration was buttery smooth; I went from total Mac newbie to power-user faster than I ever expected. By Day 80 I was ready for the big leagues. That’s when I fired up World of Warcraft of Warcraft for the first time with pure thought control. The first raid felt clunky, but once my brain and the BCI synced, it was pure magic. I’m now raiding, and exploring Azeroth hands-free at full speed — no mouse, no keyboard, just intention. It’s honestly brilliant. The freedom is addictive. The social-media side has been just as surprising. Every update I’ve shared has been met with genuine excitement rather than scepticism. Thousands of messages from people with disabilities, gamers, students, and scientists — all asking real questions about the tech and what it could mean for the future. The positivity has been overwhelming and incredibly motivating. 100 days in and I already can’t imagine life without it. The N1 didn’t just give me a new way to use a computer — it gave me a new way to live. Can’t wait to see what the next 100 days bring. 7 drives in with FSD v14.1.1 and here’s my first thoughts: - Everything v14.1 did, it does and more. Exactly the same great performance as expected but better. - ALL my drives were zero intervention around LA tonight. Did really well in parking garages like v14.1. Circled until it finds a spot and backs right in. Did a few loops in/out of the mall garage and it was fantastic. - v14.1.1 has the added benefit of some better lane discipline on highway and lack of brake stutter which some reported. Didn’t see any tonight at all- I didn’t see too much on the previous build, but it was there. - It had a sentient moment where it saw a group of 100+ cyclists taking over a street and without even hesitating it took a different way, even though the navigation wanted it to go straight. Exactly what a human would want to do, it signaled through a tight spot to the turn lane, got in the turn lane and got the heck outta there. It was wild to watch in person and worth a watch on that video. - It is obeying no right turn on red signs, no issue there. Also, insanely smooth merges onto freeway and it enters at the perfect speed. - One thing I’d love to see improved is more assertive lane changes in traffic. It will put the turn signal on and be unsure, which takes a bit, would love to see it be less hesitant. - This build (and v14.1) are AWESOME at merges. Really noticeably improved and drives like a human (and even drives better than most) - v14.1 was great, but v14.1.1 adds the polish it needed to make it smoother around the edges. Really really solid performance tonight. - Really good lane discipline on highway in Hurry mode. It does not camp in the left lane and makes a really good lane choices + selection to get around people. When nobody is around it likes to be in the number 2 lane which is the proper way to do it. - I love how it moves close to the ticket machine in garages, really nice touch and it pulls up to the perfect spot where you can reach and grab the ticket. Will test some drive thrus and other scenarios tomorrow. In this video, you could see it leave the Century City parking garage and drive through Cheviot Hills to the Culver City supercharger where it navigates on top of the parking structure and parks. During this strive in encountered and obeyed 2 no right turn on red signs, speed bumps, dips, a roundabout and the freeway. So impressive to see it make its way there without issue and it’s not even labeled. Really awesome. 7 drives in with FSD v14.1.1 and here’s my first thoughts: - Everything v14.1 did, it does and more. Exactly the same great performance as expected but better. - ALL my drives were zero intervention around LA tonight. Did really well in parking garages like v14.1. Circled until it finds a spot and backs right in. Did a few loops in/out of the mall garage and it was fantastic. - v14.1.1 has the added benefit of some better lane discipline on highway and lack of brake stutter which some reported. Didn’t see any tonight at all- I didn’t see too much on the previous build, but it was there. - It had a sentient moment where it saw a group of 100+ cyclists taking over a street and without even hesitating it took a different way, even though the navigation wanted it to go straight. Exactly what a human would want to do, it signaled through a tight spot to the turn lane, got in the turn lane and got the heck outta there. It was wild to watch in person and worth a watch on that video. - It is obeying no right turn on red signs, no issue there. Also, insanely smooth merges onto freeway and it enters at the perfect speed. - One thing I’d love to see improved is more assertive lane changes in traffic. It will put the turn signal on and be unsure, which takes a bit, would love to see it be less hesitant. - This build (and v14.1) are AWESOME at merges. Really noticeably improved and drives like a human (and even drives better than most) - v14.1 was great, but v14.1.1 adds the polish it needed to make it smoother around the edges. Really really solid performance tonight. - Really good lane discipline on highway in Hurry mode. It does not camp in the left lane and makes a really good lane choices + selection to get around people. When nobody is around it likes to be in the number 2 lane which is the proper way to do it. - I love how it moves close to the ticket machine in garages, really nice touch and it pulls up to the perfect spot where you can reach and grab the ticket. Will test some drive thrus and other scenarios tomorrow. In this video, you could see it leave the Century City parking garage and drive through Cheviot Hills to the Culver City supercharger where it navigates on top of the parking structure and parks. During this strive in encountered and obeyed 2 no right turn on red signs, speed bumps, dips, a roundabout and the freeway. So impressive to see it make its way there without issue and it’s not even labeled. Really awesome. I’m glad that Rupert Lowe MP has decided to set up his own political party separate from Advance and that it looks like we’ll get it in early March. If terms can be reached to merge and migrate members over that’s great but we need to be led by Rupert and his team and not by Ben and his team. Frankly I don’t think Ben should have much of a role. It also has to be very clear that we do not welcome Tommy Robinson or his crew of grifters and that this new party is not a neoliberal Thatcherite party like Reform. We need a party led by Rupert that promotes a handful of potential successors e.g. Bardella in France because we have to eliminate the key man risk as soon as possible. This new party can’t be open to accusations that we are Reform 2.0. It has to be something demonstrably different. I don’t want any donations to be taken from foreigners or their descendants, I don’t want any foreign lobbying efforts to infiltrate the party, I don’t want any former Tories or Reform MP’s, and I want a huge focus on policy. We have to be publishing policy papers within months that are detailed and that we can put on the desks of Permanent Secretary’s and tell them to get to work. We need a shadow Cabinet of 6-8 people quite quickly to be expanded over time. We need a completely novel media strategy that includes vlog style content so people can see what we’re up to and take control out of the MSM’s hands and back into our own. Above all we need to be ready to fight a general election by summer 2027 in case Labour collapses and we should expect a summer 2028 election as the base case. Be ready for then so that any extra time is a bonus. Finally, we have to have a plan. A plan is different to policies. A plan sets out an order of priorities and what we are going to do first. For example, if we are to leave the ECHR that is going to drag on for years at huge political cost so we have to explore how we can operate within the ECHR to maximise short term effectiveness. Another example is net zero. You can’t just end net zero overnight because projects are approved years, even up to a decade, in advance. So we have to level with the public that net zero will be reversed but that the full benefits will take time to materialise. But in the short term we can do things to help families like lift carbon taxes and reform how we price and source energy e.g. I’d reopen our markets to Russian energy. The key differentiator above all with Reform is that they are a controlled opposition clown show and we are a party preparing seriously to govern. Candidates must be chosen on experience and ability rather than celebrity but we also need to breed new talent from millennials and Gen-Z whose hearts are full of radical fervour. It’s going to be unbelievably tough, but it’s also going to be great fun. Let’s go!

I originally did these as duck walks with a dip belt, loading pin, and handle with Odd Haugen in the early 2000s for strongman. Back when strongman conditioning looked less like a fitness influencer salsa routine and more like a couple pissed off ranch bulls fighting over the last hay bale at the county auction. Now I use them primarily as prehab for my ankles and feet. Funny enough, they relieved my ankle soreness better than almost anything else I tried. I personally just do one ugly nonstop set. Sometimes up to 5 minutes straight. Looks like a wounded gorilla dragging a feed trough through wet cement. Works unbelievably well. Later I used lighter versions with general fitness clients in Santa Barbara and Nashville. I even used them training bikini competitors at Metroflex. Then football players. Baseball players. Big strongman mutants. I still use them for both performance and rehab. Why they hit different: Wide stance + marching shifts stress hard into the feet and ankle complex, glutes, adductors, and outer hips. The hanging loading pin forces stabilization the whole time. No smooth machine groove. No fancy bearings. No uptown country club feel. Just you, gravity, and consequences. The loading pin changes everything. The weight hangs straight down and drags you forward into the balls of the feet. That lights up the foot intrinsics, ankles, calves, hip stabilizers, and core anti rotation. It feels more like manual labor than exercise. More raw. More athletic. Less “fitness machine.” The movement also has a semi unilateral feel to it without the balance demands or joint stress of true single leg work. Easy learning curve. Massive carryover. I actually have a very nice belt squat machine. Originally the loading pin setup was out of necessity because I had no other option. Now it’s 100% my preference. Like choosing gas station barbecue over some tiny downtown steakhouse charging you $94 to leave hungry. Now I use them constantly for ankle resilience, conditioning, GPP, posterior chain work, and big athletes that need conditioning without getting beat up from running. One of the best high school strength coaches in the country, Coach Thomas Fahey Coach Fahey , shared a potentiation protocol with me using these. Coach Fahey has pushed these much heavier than I have and gotten incredible results with athletes. I have not personally run this exact protocol yet, but it was too interesting not to share. 2 minutes continuous marching at roughly 3 steps per second. Then immediately: 4–8 max height jumps. When jump height plateaus or drops off: Add a plate and repeat. If jumps improve again: Add another plate. Repeat for rounds 3, 4, 5… Constant tension. Short ROM. Low soreness. Very economical. You can load these brutally heavy without getting beat to pieces. I’ve also used these as conditioning intervals on machine belt squats while carrying sandbags. But the loading pin version still feels different. More foot. More ankle. More hip stabilization. More real world carryover. Best part? You can go brutally heavy safely. I personally have not pushed the limits on these yet. Coach Fahey has pushed them much harder with great results. I still think there’s another level there most people have not tapped into.
