Two High Speed Train corridors go through Uttar Pradesh: ✅Delhi–Varanasi ✅Varanasi–Siliguri Delhi-Varanasi was the first-ever Vande Bharat & it was given to UP. Flagged off 'Phase 2A of Mumbai Metro 3 from BKC to Acharya Atre Chowk (9.77 km)' today at BKC, Mumbai today. #WATCH | Mumbai: Regarding his meeting with MNS leaders, Dr Swapnil Dhanraj Nila, Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Central Railway, says, Today at Central Railway, a meeting was held with MNS representatives. During the meeting, the railway presented three main factual points. First, regarding the shifting of the Dadar-Ratnagiri train: the train was moved from Dadar to Ratnagiri in 2021. When train operations resumed post-COVID-19, the train was shifted to Diva from Dadar, and they were also told about the operational reasons, which include that, when this train crosses Diva station, it accesses the 5th and 6th lines, which coincides with the evening peak of suburban services. The train requires approximately 11–12 minutes to pass through the crossover, which significantly impacts the punctuality of suburban trains on both sides. This bottleneck at the Divagate was a major factor affecting punctuality in the Mumbai Division. Consequently, a cautious decision was made in 2021 to run the service from Diva to Ratnagiri instead of Daradar." He adds, "Information was also provided regarding the Dadar-Gorakhpur train. Previously, this train operated from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). When LTT was converted into an LHB-based coaching depot, the service was shifted to Dadar. To accommodate this at Dadar, the number of coaches had to be reduced from 22 to 17... There have been no other changes to its operation, frequency, or stoppages; the only difference is that the train, which previously ran 'on demand,' has now been made a regular service. Additionally, it was shared that last week, 14 trains were regularised, 7 of which serve various cities in Maharashtra. Over the last 3–4 years, no trains have been cancelled in this region. Furthermore, several services to Madgaon have been introduced or improved: a regular service from CSMT to Madgaon started on June 28, 2023; a bi-weekly special from Bandra Terminus was introduced in 2024; and the frequency of the LTT-Madgaon train was increased from weekly to 4 times a week in November 2022. Currently, 21 trains run daily to the Konkan region from Mumbai, and another 25 trains pass from other stations... Over the past year, the central railway also operated 302 Ganpati special trains for the Konkan region, 52 summer specials and 26 Holi specials..." (24.03)

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, today, launched the Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Prime Minister Office System (PMOS), describing it as a transformative digital platform that will modernise governance by recording, communicating, monitoring and tracking every directive issued by the Prime Minister from issuance through implementation, verified completion and post-completion monitoring. Addressing the launch ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office, the prime minister directed all relevant authorities to ensure the immediate and full implementation of the new AI-based system, making it clear that traditional paper-based working would be replaced by digital processes. "From today onwards, I will not expect any of you with a file in your hands. Everything will be discussed through this mechanism," the prime minister said. He praised Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Secretary IT for their efforts in developing and operationalising the system. He urged all ministries and government departments to adopt the platform, saying it would significantly improve the government's ability to deliver results. "This would make service delivery easier," he remarked. The ceremony was attended by Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema, Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and other senior officials. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russia has been increasing its war spending every year. As of mid-December, prices for Russian Urals crude are at their lowest level since the start of the full-scale war, at just over $40 per barrel. In February 2022, Urals prices were in the range of $80-90 per barrel. ◾️ Russia's National Wealth Fund is rapidly losing liquid assets: from $113.5 billion in 2022 to $51.6 billion in 2025. It was used to finance the budget deficit, especially in 2022-2024. ◾️ Gold and foreign exchange reserves - at the end of November, according to Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service, in order to quickly patch up holes in the budget and support the ruble exchange rate, Russia's Central Bank began selling strategic gold reserves. The sale is taking place on the domestic market. Access to foreign markets is blocked by sanctions.
