🚨UFO skeptic Mick West (Mick West) and national security analyst Marik von Rennenkampff (Marik vR) debate some of the most famous UFO videos, including newly surfaced footage from Iraq. Mick insists they're camera illusions; Marik highlights experts who refute simple glitches. Will definitive proof soon emerge in the open, or is the real evidence forever sealed behind classified doors? As a moderator, I acknowledge my bias. I find the testimonies of Jake Barber, David Grusch, and others to be beyond reproach and internally consistent. However, for the average person, they may require significant leaps of logic to fully digest and understand. I hope this serves as a rational and Socratic onramp for those curious and interested in UFOs. 1. New “Iraq Gimbal” Video: A Marine’s thermal footage echoes classic “Gimbal” imagery, fueling debate on whether these shapes are optical artifacts or genuine craft. 2. Repeatable Patterns at Nuclear Sites: Both grapple with recurring claims of UAP near nukes—one sees consistent misreporting, the other a red flag demanding deeper study. 3. Top-Secret Explanations: From psyops to psionics, speculation abounds on covert advanced tech versus exotic phenomena—especially given new alleged “egg” retrieval videos. 4. AARO & Official Data: Both camps call for the Pentagon’s UFO office to release definitive sensor records to test rival theories and move beyond guesswork. 5. Whistleblower Stakes: Whether it’s David Grusch or anonymous Marines, the debate underscores how stigma and secrecy may throttle critical first-hand testimony. 6. Bottom-Line Consensus: Despite clashing takes, both agree: Only robust, publicly analyzed high-res data can resolve whether “impossible” UFOs are real—or illusions.

Here’s how to ACTUALLY block blue light on your iPhone, most of the apps are actually just filtering a narrow spectrum. This method puts it into pure red light mode. This hack has helped my sleep immeasurably. Step 1: Settings > Accessibility > Display and Text Size > Color Filters Step 2: Turn on color filter > Check “Color Tint” Step 3: Slide the “Intensity” and “Hue” bars all the way to the right (this is maximum red and filters all blue light) Step 4: Go back two screens to “accessibility” then click “Accessibility Shortcut” Step 5: Check “Color Filters” - this turns on the “triple click” function that allows for easy On/Off for this setting How to use: Follow the sun - do not turn off the red light filter until you have consumed true natural red light from the sun in the AM for at least 10-15 mins. I usually wait well into the morning and after my morning outdoor walk before I triple click back to “normal view” Once dusk hits, so too should your red light filter return. So in the winter, that’s like 6p where I live… Ideally, you are not consuming screens at least 2 hours before bed for max circadian support. But if you must, make sure you are at least using this one quick easy technique. Our modern tech lives lead to an absolute decimation of our circadian rhythms, which subsequently leads to all sorts of detrimental impacts like low T, insulin resistance, fat gain, and thyroid dysfunction, amongst many others. Follow Zaid K. Dahhaj and Abud Bakri MD for much deeper analysis on these topics.

* NEW FROM THE CHIRLA FILES * CHIRLA, the taxpayer-funded nonprofit that has been fomenting opposition to immigration enforcement in Los Angeles, owns a film production company that has produced a full-length feature. CHIRLA’s “beleaguered” Executive Director, Angelica Salas, is credited as the Executive Producer of the movie. Seems strange for a nonprofit, right? Pouring over its publicly available financial records, there appear to be a number of irregularities—though I do not have the expertise to form a definitive opinion about whether there was actual malfeasance. Here are the details. As background to CHIRLA’s film-making enterprise: In 2018, the organization produced a 20-minute short called “America, I Too,” which was shown at some film festivals. According to its website, this was “the second film in the series following the first short, ‘Know Your Rights’ created in 2007.” The video by that name that I found online is ten minutes long and has poor production values. CHIRLA incorporated its film company, called CHIRLA Liberty Film, LLC, in January 2019. It is entirely owned by the nonprofit, and its finances are consolidated in CHIRLA’s financial audits. The audit for the year ending June 30, 2019, lists film production costs in the amount of $242,413 and $28,764 from 2018, noting that they relate to the “various costs associated with the production of a film.” The audit, however, does not mention the existence of the film company. Strangely, CHIRLA’s Form 990 (the tax form filed by nonprofits with the IRS) for 2019 also does not reference either the company or the costs of film production. Every year beginning in 2019, CHIRLA’s audits state: “Upon completion of the film, the Organization will review its total revenue estimates from the film, which may result in a change in the rate of amortization and/or a write-down of the film production costs to fair value.” But confusingly, there are never any revenue estimates provided in any audit. The cost of the film production is simply listed as an asset each year. CHIRLA’s 2020 audit is the first to acknowledge the existence of the film company: “CHIRLA has teamed up with CHIRLA Liberty Films LLC to bring to life a dramatized film series about undocumented immigrants called Know Your Rights.” It’s a strange statement, given that the “Know Your Rights” video was produced in 2007. The 2020 audit lists $124,483 as an additional investment in the production of the unnamed film, and the Form 990 for that year lists a cumulative investment in film production of $366,896. Its financials for 2021 are essentially consistent, showing an additional $419,052 spent on the film, totaling $785,948. CHIRLA’s 2022 audit adds $151,658 in production costs, and the 2023 audit adds another $109,437, for a grand total of $1,047,043. Both audits state that the film still had not been completed as of June 30 of their respective years. But contradictorily, CHIRLA’s feature-length film—titled “America’s Family”—is listed on IMDb with a release date in 2022, and there are websites advertising showings in Los Angeles and Boston in June 2022—prior to June 30. Though CHIRLA’s Form 990s for 2020 and 2021 list a dollar value under “Investment in Liberty Film,” the Form 990s for 2022 and 2023 include no record of the investment in film production or acknowledgment of the wholly owned film company. After the initial showing of “America’s Family” in June 2022, the film had a number of additional showings in late 2023. In late 2024, CHIRLA presented the film for free or low cost at several local community centers in Mexico. It is now available for streaming on Amazon Prime. I know little about the film industry, but my suspicion is that the company may have spent more on these screenings than it earned in revenue. This brings me back to the auditor’s recurring statement: “Upon completion of the film, the Organization will review its total revenue estimates from the film, which may result in a change in the rate of amortization and/or a write-down of the film production costs to fair value.” Again, the audit does not include revenue estimates, so it is difficult to guess what this refers to. The $1 million spent on film production was considered an asset on financials. On what planet would this film break even? And what is the movie like? Judging from the trailer, it’s clichéd propaganda. It presents an idyllic life of a Spanish-speaking “American” family, suddenly torn apart by brutal ICE agents. You can judge its artistic merit for yourself. More important will be the judgment about the legality of CHIRLA’s financial filings.

We are very excited to release zerank-2, ZeroEntropy (YC W25) 's newest reranker model. 🔥 It shows major improvement on the 5 most common RAG failure modes below. Existing rerankers consistently fail on seemingly “simple” tasks: 🔢 Comparing numbers and date: “Biggest deals closed after 04/2024.” 🗄️ Aggregation: “Top 10 objections of customer X?” 🌍 Multilingual: Major pain point, especially non-English to non-English. 🙏 Instruction-Following: “Find the *counterargument* of the claim in the transcript” 🥇 Calibrated scores: You ask "what should I cook for dinner?", and "I am allergic to nuts" scores too low for your threshold. Many rerankers overfit public benchmarks, and don’t generalize to these real issues. zerank-2 outperforms existing rerankers considerably on all of these failure modes, in real production environments. With zerank-2, you get: * 15% improvement vs Cohere rerank 3.5 on Arabic/Hindi (Miraql dataset) * +12% NDCG@10 on sorting tasks (new open-sourced eval set) * +7% vs Gemini Flash on instruction-following (MAIR dataset) * $0.025/1M tokens, 150ms p90 latency at 100KB 🤗 We are open-sourcing the model weights, along with new challenging eval sets on Hugging Face. Our Elo-inspired training methodology is already open-source! We're starting a series of technical deep dives to explain various failure modes zerank-2 fixes, with concrete prod examples, methodologies, and benchmarks. First technical deep dive in the comments.

U-Net by hand ✍️ ~ 17 steps walkthrough below I consider U-Net as a key milestone in deep learning, the first image-to-image model that really worked! It came out of medical imaging, an unusual place, not from NeurIPS or CVPR or ACL. Now it is the backbone of diffusion models, which you see in almost all modern image generation models. I drew the network as a C so the matrix multiplication flows naturally down. Tilt your head to the right and it is a U again. 🤣 Goal: push a 3 x 16 image down to a 2 x 4 bottleneck and back out again, filling in every cell yourself. = 1. Given = An image of three channels, R, G and B, sixteen pixels wide, and every kernel the network will use. = 2. Convolution 1 = Let us slide the first kernel over the image. Each output is one multiply-and-add over a 2 x 3 window, and the result is the green feature map. = 3. Find the maxima = We circle the largest value in each 1 x 2 window. Circling first is worth the extra step: it is the pooling decision, made before anything is written down. = 4. Max pool 1 = Let us copy those maxima down. Sixteen columns become eight, and half the detail is gone for good. = 5. Convolution 2 = We convolve again with the second kernel, deeper into the contracting path. The feature map is blue now. = 6. Find the maxima again = Same move as step 3, on the blue map. = 7. Max pool 2 = Eight columns become four. = 8. The bottleneck = Let us convolve once more. This is the bottom of the U, a 2 x 4 block that is everything the network kept. = 9. Spread it out = We start back up. The transposed convolution writes each bottleneck value into a wider grid, leaving gaps between them. = 10. Transposed convolution 1 = Let us fill those gaps by convolving over the spread-out grid. Four columns become eight. = 11. The first skip = We copy the encoder's matching row straight across. This is the skip connection, and it is the whole reason a U-Net can recover detail that pooling threw away. = 12. Convolution with the skip = Let us convolve the upsampled features together with the copied ones. = 13. Spread it out again = Same as step 9, one level up. = 14. Transposed convolution 2 = Eight columns become sixteen, back to the width we started at. = 15. The second skip = The encoder's first feature map comes across, the one made before any pooling happened. = 16. Convolution and ReLU = We convolve, then cross out every negative and set it to zero. = 17. Output convolution = Let us apply the last kernel. Out comes R', G' and B', an image the same size as the one we started with. The outputs: R' = [3, 0, 7, 0, 7, 0, 17, 0, 3, 0, 9, 0, 2, 0, 6, 0] G' = [1, 20, 1, 10, 1, 12, 1, 19, 2, 5, 1, 11, 1, 3, 1, 7] B' = [4, 20, 8, 10, 8, 12, 18, 19, 5, 5, 10, 11, 3, 3, 7, 7] Congrats! You just calculated a U-Net by hand. 💾 Save this post!

🚨 GEARS OF WAR E DAY OPINION!...🚨 Everybody keeps asking me Where is Gears of War E Day, where is the Gameplay, Release Date, New Trailer, anything seeing as how we are almost four months in to 2026 and I would say the Answers can be found in the Past to Reveal the Future, if your confused you haven't been paying attention!... 👀💥⚙️ In October 2023 I was the first to report on the sixth mainline Gears of War game an Unnannounced Coalition game was set to release sometime in 2026 and 3 years later it looks to finally be happening! 👀😱⚙️ I also discussed a Gears of War Direct show focusing on a deep dive into the new game after Xbox began yearly dedicated game shows! 🧐🤯⚙️ Then on September 20th 2025 after the release of Gears of War Reloaded I uploade a Youtube video discussing my own personal opinion that if there is no E Day at the January 2026 Developer Direct, then it would likely be the Xbox Games Summer Showcase E Day Direct, which again Playground Games were the focus with Fable & Forza Horizon 6 & if we look at Gears of War E Day it is the only Xbox Games Studio first party title confirmed for a 2026 release with zero gameplay shown, no exact release date window & we are already almost four months into the year there must be a reason for that... 🤔🎮⚙️ This is why I have believed since 2023 that the best way to celebrate Gears of War E Day and also the franchise 20th annviersary is with a dedicated E Day Direct show that potentially based on Xbox announcement last year could be announced as early as April 7th/14th if the Xbox Games Showcase were to be happening on either Sunday June 7th or 14th! 🫡🔥⚙️ It is very frustrating that there is no Gears of War E Day marketing happening right now I wish I had more to cover for content & to help build community engagement & hype but there must be a plan for why it looks like we may just have to wait until the Xbox Games Showcase in June for Gears of War Re-Emergence to finally begin, just a little more patience we are almost back Gears Fam! 🙏🤞⚙️

The Light That Connects us Is the One That Controls us👀 🤔 How do we know when we’re being controlled? First, let’s understand what ☣️ Pleb Kruse = BTC foundationalist in exile 🟩🔆 means in this clip. He’s not talking about metaphorical control. He’s talking about quantum biological enslavement through light and frequencies. ⚡️1 - The Origin: Electromagnetic Control Experiments. Decades ago, neuroscience, MK-ULTRA & DARPA-linked experiments proved that animals could be controlled through electrical signals in their brains; literal wires and current. Once they learned they could manipulate behavior electrically, the next question was: “Can we do this wirelessly;through frequencies?” And guess what? They found out they could. ⚙️ 2 - The Modern Extension: Blue Light, 5G & EMF. Fast-forward to today; the “wires” are gone. Now, control travels invisibly through the air. 📱Our screen emits pulsed blue light. 📡Our router sends modulated microwave signals. These are information-carrying photons and waves that can tune your biology 😬 They affect: 🧠 Dopamine (motivation, focus, addiction) 😴 Melatonin (sleep and circadian rhythm) 🩸 Beta-endorphins (our natural opiates, mood regulators) So when Kruse says: “They own all the patents for blue-light technology through screens,” He means that corporations(Apple, Google, Motorola, Meta…)literally own the frequencies our brain responds to. 💡 Light is the ultimate control lever. Every cell in your body listens to photons first, not hormones or food. Whoever controls the light environment controls the biological behavior of populations 🧠 3 - Biological Result: Addiction= Entrainment When we stare at a screen: 🔵 Blue light suppresses melatonin & collapses dopamine. 📡 EMFs reduce beta-endorphins (our natural opioids). 📶 1G… 5G = continuous entrainment; each generation adds more biological interference. 5G doesn’t exist in the phone, it’s for our bodies. ☕ Our brain craves external stimulation(caffeine, sugar, scrolling, sex, alcohol, drugs) A two-year-old addicted to an iPad is the same as a heroin addict. Both have hijacked dopamine circuits and collapsed endorphin tone. You aren’t choosing anymore; the signal is driving your craving 🧐4 - How the Control Grid Was Built Big Tech = Light Engineers. Motorola, Nokia, Apple, Meta, Google; they’re not selling “phones.” They’re selling entrainment devices that program how your mitochondria process light. Each pixel and pulse is an encoded frequency; shaping attention, mood, and thought. These showed the nervous system could be synchronized, or controlled by pulsed light and EM waves. Screens replaced scalp electrodes. Our retina became the wire. Every smartphone, laptop, or VR headset alters circadian rhythm, melatonin, and neurotransmitters. That’s why we “need” blue-blocking glasses. The cure exists because the crime was committed first. 🙇🏻‍♀️💭 5 - The Deeper Meaning When you’re addicted to anything, you’re being controlled by the signal. Addiction = biological enslavement. Your mitochondria no longer tune to the sun; they’re tuned to LED light and Wi-Fi That’s not psychology; that’s quantum biology facts. Anyone trapped in addiction(whether to caffeine, sugar, porn, or dopamine hits from screens) has already been synced to the Matrix. If they can’t unplug, the signal will consume them; neuron by neuron, mitochondrion by mitochondrion. THE CURE. 🌅 Sunrise: retune your circadian oscillators to natural light. 🦶 Ground: reconnect your charge to the Earth, neutralizing EMF buildup. ❄️ Cold + Seafood: rebuild dopamine and endorphins through mitochondrial repair. 🔴 No blue light after sunset: use candles, fire, or red/NIR light instead. 🐟 Eat local & seafood: it aligns your electrons with your latitude and keeps ATP(energy) production stable. In Short 👀 ⛓️ The new chains aren’t made of metal; they’re made of photons. 📱 The signal that entertains you also owns you. 🌞 The only real rebellion is to retune your biology back to nature’s frequencies.

Dear Global Pioneers! Happy Saturday! 🪷🪷🪷 I hope everyone is doing great and feeling the power and confidence in Pi Network and GCV!👏👏👏👏 This morning, I just finished the rehearsal and preparation for the upcoming 4th conference, which will mark my final global conference engagement. As the primary speaker, I will deliver a 20-minute speech comprising approximately 2000 English words. During this address, I intend to provide an overview of the GCV journey from February 2022 to the present, acquainting all global pioneers with its evolution. Given that not all pioneers have been part of this journey from its inception, I aim to elucidate previously addressed topics. 1. The attainment of the GCV at $314,159 is emblematic of the steadfast dedication and contributions of the global GCV community, signifying a collective triumph that is a result of the collaborative efforts of the Pi Network's global community. I extend my sincere appreciation to all contributors, past and present, including esteemed community leaders, merchants, and pioneers across diverse countries.🙏🙏🙏🙏 2. The consensus price of $314,159 originated from the Chinese community under the guidance of Mr. Bao, also known as Commandor on WeChat. Despite his departure from the community due to work and health reasons, the selection of this price was a result of the collective input from approximately 30,000 Chinese pioneers during the period of February to May 2022, with the support of over 80% of pioneers. The commendable wisdom of Commander and the entire Chinese community in establishing this GCV price is deeply acknowledged. 3. The term 'GCV' denotes the Global Consensus Value within the Pi Network community, necessitating collective validation from global pioneers, underpinned by both sentiment and blockchain records. It is imperative to distinguish the GCV from buying and selling prices. Moreover, to qualify as GCV, a price must secure consensus from at least half of the 223 country communities. The GCV is exclusively recognized as $314,159 within the community, diverging from individual prices. 4. Owing to the depletion of funds and inventory amounting to 100 million USD from Chinese merchants, who had not foreseen the protracted timeline for OM, many are presently unable to engage in barter transactions despite their instrumental contribution to the genesis of GCV. Furthermore, the omission of GCV from blockchain data is attributable to the incomplete KYC process and the absence of Pi Network wallets among most Chinese pioneers and merchants. 5. I have redirected my focus to Global Community GCV education from August 2023 onwards and firmly believe that our endeavors' success hinges on the global community's support for GCV. Consequently, the Global GCV movement was initiated in August 2023, gathering the endorsement of numerous GCV community leaders. Subsequently, the formation of the Global GCV Core Team after December 2023, following multiple global conferences, has fostered deeper connections with various GCV community leaders. Since I experienced how struggle Chinese community for GCV practice in bartering, I understand how important of timing. The delay of OM will be a disaster. That's why I launched two times or petition to CT to assist them make decision and understand the real situation in our community. Thank you to everyone's efforts and support to GCV! See you tomorrow on Youtube Live. I will post the link here tomorrow morning at 8:50am EST 10 min early before Conference. Doris Yin🪷🪷🪷

Let's reverse engineer Disney's adorable, lifelike robot! I couldn't find a whitepaper, but this is how I think it's trained: 1. The emotional behaviors are curated by Disney animation artists, keyframe by keyframe. But it cannot be "rendered" directly on the robot because it doesn't take into account the complex real-world physics. 2. Reinforcement learning (RL) is a great tool for training low-level robot controllers. RL needs a reward function to optimize, and it's typically a task reward (e.g. walk in a straight line as fast as possible). The problem is that RL doesn't know what counts as "natural behavior", and often produces weird-looking body postures that somehow still maximize the reward. This is a human alignment problem just like ChatGPT. 3. Enters Adversarial Motion Prior (AMP): a technique that learns the human preference by training a classifier on what we consider "emotional & cute". In GAN literature, this is called a discriminator. Disney artists are good at creating such a dataset. You can then add AMP as an auxiliary reward in simulation to nudge the robot towards desired behaviors. AMP was developed by Peng et al. 2021 and Escontrela et al. 2022. 4. Add lots of data augmentation to make the controller robust to physical disturbances. In RL, it's called "domain randomization". This is a very powerful technique that bridges the gap between simulator and reality. Previously, OpenAI used domain randomization to train a 5-finger robot hand to manipulate a Rubik's Cube: IEEE news article gave hints about the pipeline: Finally, praying for world peace 🙏. THE G7 IS ABOUT TO MAKE THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IN ENERGY MARKET HISTORY This morning, G7 finance ministers are holding an emergency call to discuss dumping 300-400 million barrels from strategic petroleum reserves onto the market. They think this will fix $108 oil. But it won't. Let me explain why: Let's do the math that nobody on CNBC will do for you. Global oil consumption runs approximately 103 million barrels per day. The Strait of Hormuz closure has removed somewhere between 4 and 6 million barrels per day from available supply. That's happening RIGHT NOW. Iraq has already cut 1.5 million barrels per day because it literally ran out of storage space. Kuwait is cutting production. Bahrain declared force majeure. So take 400 million barrels - the high end of what they're discussing - and divide it by the daily supply gap. You get roughly 67 to 100 days of coverage. Two to three months. That's it. That's the whole plan. And then what? You can't release reserves you've already released. The market figured this out in about 4 hours. Oil spiked over 20% overnight, the G7 leak hit the wires, and prices pulled back to... still up 12-15%. Traders looked at the arithmetic and said: "Thanks, but that doesn't solve anything." And they're right. Here's the part that should terrify you: The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve sits at roughly 411 million barrels. That sounds like a lot until you remember it held 727 million barrels at its peak. The previous administration drained 180 million barrels in 2022 to fight $90 oil. That release bought consumers about 18 cents per gallon of relief. THIS disruption is structurally larger, geographically more dangerous, and has no visible end date. In 2022, the threat was Russian supply being redirected. Tankers still moved. Alternatives existed. The Strait of Hormuz was wide open. Today, the world's most critical energy chokepoint is effectively closed. And that not by a naval blockade but by insurance companies refusing to cover ships transiting it. And the political situation just got worse, not better. The conditions for oil to return to pre-war levels require the Strait to reopen, Iraqi production to restore, and Gulf shipping insurance to normalize. NONE of those conditions are achievable through reserve releases. They require the conflict to end or dramatically de-escalate. Nothing happening right now suggests either outcome. For 45 years I've watched governments try to solve structural supply problems with temporary demand-side gimmicks. It never works. It didn't work in the 1970s when Nixon tried price controls. It didn't work in 2022 when Biden drained the SPR. And it won't work now. Strategic reserves exist for genuine emergencies. This IS a genuine emergency. But using 25-30% of the world's total strategic stockpile (roughly a third of the entire 1.2 billion barrel IEA reserve) when the underlying crisis has no resolution in sight isn't strategy... It's PANIC. The smart money isn't waiting for G7 announcements. They're looking at what happens in 90 days when the reserves are depleted, the Strait is still closed, and the new Supreme Leader is still in power: Energy stocks. Gold. Silver. Real assets that don't depend on politicians solving a military conflict with a spreadsheet. The G7 can release every barrel they have. It doesn't reopen the Strait of Hormuz. It doesn't bring stability to Iran. It doesn't fix a 4-6 million barrel per day supply gap that grows wider every week. Arithmetic doesn't care about press conferences. And neither should you.

The enemy of sleep is effort. In this episode, Dr. Michael Grandner (Dr. Michael Grandner) explains how insomnia fundamentally stems from a learned pattern of wakefulness and why, for many, the bed itself becomes a source of stress and vigilance rather than rest. We explore practical strategies to retrain your brain to effortlessly anticipate sleep rather than forcing it. Dr. Grandner also highlights why sleep apnea is shockingly prevalent yet frequently undetected, and provides effective treatment alternatives beyond CPAP. Additionally, we discuss how supplements and other substances influence sleep architecture, how to optimize sleep tracking devices, and how to strategically use sleep to enhance cognitive and physical performance. This is an essential podcast for anyone looking to improve their sleep. Links in the comments.
