2 Cold Scorpio x Sabu. Promoted as Sabu’s first ECW opponent who could challenge him move for move, Scorpio makes his debut in spectacular fashion & and in one of the most spectacular aerial matches ever seen on US tv at that time. (6.3.1994) 🌟

@JimmyJimmyJam1 Man Scorpio was so damn good

2 Cold doesn’t get enough love.

One of the realest, illest, coolest, Black Athletes of ALL TIME! 2 Cold Scorpio, Flash Funk, whatever you wanna call him, Charles Scaggs - a legit BADASS!!

Unless you were alive at the time you cannot appreciate just how different this was. WWF and WCW were doing nothing even close to anything like this at the time.

I was there live. This was a tremendous match at the “lovely” Montgomeryville (PA) Farmers Mart! They met two weeks later in the same building. They drew about 300 people to each show. I was lucky to attend so many ECW shows.

Funny enough, only the second best match to have taken place on June 3rd, 1994.

😳😳😳... So this match was on the exact same day as this legendary match...

This rivalry is NOT talked about enough imo. These dudes tried to kill each other on multiple occasions.

I wonder if haters were calling it “flippy bullshit” 30 years ago or if they were just like “damn this is good” Like did the corny wrestling fans who only like graps exist back then? Did Cornette think The Thrillseekers were flippy bullshit when he booked them in SMW?
