Draft night felt like an intentional “Humbling” of the young QB, but he never lost confidence. The Sanders family won draft weekend. I know that seems strange, but they did. A family & a player that had been discredited during the entire predraft process put on a masterclass of poise, humility, gratitude, & grace. Though I’m sure, many won’t acknowledge it. There are fair questions about Shedeur Sanders ceiling of “Physical talent”, but he his tape is not a 5th rounder’s film. Add to that being pranked call by a NFL coaches son, & he had every reason to wig the eff out… but their was no sign of entitlement. He will be the most popular player in Browns uniform, & this week has only added to his intrigue. Thoughts on Emanuel Acho’s Sanders & Monken take: We have to be careful when we converse on these new platforms. Things get a little looser, but we all need to reevaluate things at times. How we respond is a matter of individual priorities, but Todd Monken has earned the title of head coach. He deserves to be listened to & respected. Shedeur Sanders has not taken a DAY OFF since Dillon Gabriel was named QB1. Sanders was seen again this week at Baldwin Wallace, throwing on his off day. People cover sport only say negative things to excite that base while riling up his supporters. Who being honest, only want to hear, “Shedeur’s great”. Is it ok to just tell the truth? I finished film on Browns vs Titans around 2:30 a.m. this morning, & my first thought after I was done was… COACH PRIME should be so proud of Shedeur Sanders. He’s gone from predraft slander & 5th round draft pick to the Cleveland Browns’ starter for the rest of the year. Jack Bech had two goals. 1. Make it to the NFL, & 2. Play for the LSU Tigers. Number 2 was supposed to be a stepping stone to number 1. The reason the NFL was 1 was taking care of his family, & that’s his forever goal. Jack Bech has a plan. Get into a locker room, keep his head down, & earn his keep. Then, get to his second contract. He wants to retire his parents, take care of his sisters, and eventually his own wife & kids. 10-15 years now he will move on to something else, but number 1 will always be his priority.
