Ok so here’s what’s happening. For the past few days, pagers and radios used by Hezbollah terrorists to communicate and coordinate attacks on Israelis have been exploding. This is a major development in a war that began nearly a year ago, when Hezbollah, in coordination with Hamas, joined the attacks on Israel. On October 7 Hamas invaded Israel, murdering thousands of Israeli civilians and kidnapping hundreds more. The very next day on October 8th Hezbollah joined the war. Both of these terrorist groups are backed trained and funded by the Islamic Republic of Iran, the world’s largest sponsor of terrorism. And for the past 11 months, Hezbollah has fired over 8,500 rockets and drones at Israel, that’s almost 1000 attacks each month, forcing nearly 100,000 Israelis away from their homes. Dozens of Israeli civilians have been killed. Including, horrifically the 12 children who were playing soccer in Majdal Shams when an Iranian-made rocket, launched by Hezbollah, struck the playground and killed them. And this week, Hezbollah suffered a significant blow. Every single person who was carrying one of these devices was part of Hezbollah’s terrorist operation. If you had them, you are a part of Iran’s terrorist occupation of the Middle East and you are a part of Iran’s ring of fire that’s trying to take Israel down. While Israel has consistently shown restraint and made countless attempts to reach a ceasefire, Hezbollah has continued attacking Israel. It’s time for the international community to recognize the serious threat posed by Hezbollah and the rest of Iran’s jihadi terrorist armies in the Middle East. Allowing this aggression on Israel’s borders to become the status quo threatens global security and empowers extremists worldwide. Israel did not want this war and did not start this war with Hamas, Hezbollah or Iran but will have to defend itself and win this war.

Israeli troops crossed the Litani River on the outskirts of the southern Lebanon town of Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, around 10 kilometers from the border with Israel, during a recent operation against Hezbollah, the military announces. The week-long raid was led by the Golani Brigade’s Reconnaissance Unit, and included other forces. The IDF says the troops achieved "operational control" over the area, and worked to clear it of Hezbollah infrastructure. The soldiers did not cross the line demarcating the IDF's new security zone in southern Lebanon, referred to by some in the army as the "Yellow Line." During the raid, the military says, troops encountered numerous Hezbollah operatives, and killed dozens of them in close-quarters combat and by directing airstrikes. Several soldiers were lightly injured during the fighting. In one incident, troops encountered several Hezbollah operatives who emerged from a tunnel north of the river, and exchanged fire with them. During the clash, a dog of the Oketz canine unit was killed. The troops also located numerous Hezbollah positions, including tunnels, weapon depots, and rocket launchers, the IDF says. Officers involved in the operation describe the terrain as "very complex," as the river in the area is situated in a forested valley. Despite this, the troops managed to cross the river with armored vehicles. The army carried out engineering activity in the area, to enable easier crossing of the river by troops in the future, if required. The Israeli Air Force struck over 100 targets in the area, as part of support for the ground troops, the military adds.

The Israeli military has nearly completed capturing the Hezbollah stronghold of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, killing more than 100 members of the terror group in the area in the process, according to the IDF. The operation in Bint Jbeil is being led by the 98th Division with its Paratroopers and Commando brigades, along with the Givati Infantry Brigade. The IDF says it initially isolated and encircled the town to prevent Hezbollah from bringing in reinforcements or escaping. At least 150 Hezbollah operatives, including members of the terror group's elite Radwan Force, were estimated by the IDF to have been in the Bint Jbeil area ahead of the operation. The 98th Division also carried out several commando operations as it worked to secure the town, a military official says. "Over the past week, the forces completed the encirclement and launched an offensive in the town of Bint Jbeil," the IDF says in a statement. "The troops eliminated more than 100 terrorists from the Hezbollah terror organization in close-quarters combat and from the air, destroyed dozens of terrorist infrastructures, and located hundreds of weapons in the area," the IDF says. Since the IDF began its offensive in Bint Jbeil, the military has not detected any attacks from the town on Israel. IDF troops, however, have come under fire by Hezbollah from Bint Jbeil, though a military official says the rate is slowing. The official says he estimates that it will likely take a few more days to complete the operations in Bint Jbeil, during which the division aims to kill the remaining few dozen operatives there and locate the terror group's infrastructure.
