Forever the best driver. He was highly competitive in 2006 as well and could have won the championship. He wasn't ready for retirement and Montezemolo forced it down the throats of everyone.

But prime alonso too was a force to be reckoned with

End of the day, Alonso couldn't achieve what Schumi could despite being in F1 for more number of years for whatever reasons it may be. Moreover there is the other aspect of team building, I guess nobody else has come close to Schumi in that regard.

I was in the grandstand at Monza that day .i was hysterical crying my eyes out . People could nt believe it everyone in tears 😭
