The North Tower of the World Trade Center collapses. The Marriot Hotel, a separate building located at the base of the tower, is also destroyed. A 40-story portion of the building stands for several seconds after the collapse, then falls. Perhaps 20,000 people are dead.

@25YearsAgoLive Good thing firefighters don’t posses engineering degrees. Any sensible person with a brain knows that jet fuel can severely weaken the beams, which causes the whole thing to collapse. Thousands of tons falling each floor, would result in the collapse too. Use your brain

@25YearsAgoLive Your premise is that jet fuel burned hot enough to melt the steel which caused the collapse of the two towers. So please explain how building 7 fell at free fall speeds without a plane hitting it or the presence of jet fuel.

@25YearsAgoLive the mass of the floors collapsing would have forced air on the lower floors to become pressurized and burst out of the windows. that's why it appears as though there were demolitions on every floor as it goes down but this is merely a result of physics.
