Your program is in shambles, but let’s have some fun. -Where did Cam Ward attend School? 🤔 UIW - 2 yrs WSU - 2 yrs UM - 1 year (quit at halftime of another bowl game loss) You tell me - The draft. I could care less, this isn’t the minor leagues and y’all remain the sole school focused on that because you never win anything. Bowl games, conference titles, etc. But want to bring it up? We have 2-3 projected first rd kids. Remember when our WR2 went in the 4th and your all-time leading WR went undrafted? - Anyways, I wonder what the kids think 🤔

#NFL CROWD NOISE IN THE 1980s December 2, 1985 This clip from a frenzied Orange Bowl during the classic #Dolphins-#Bears MNF matchup exhibits the scenario that would typically occur in the 1980s when offenses couldn't hear the play call. The quarterback would tell the officials that his team couldn't hear, the officials would then ask the home team's coach and/or players to implore the crowd to be quiet — and a delay would ensue. In 1989, the league implemented a "crowd noise" rule, stipulating that if the crowd was too loud, the coach/players MUST implore the fans to quiet down. If after three warnings the noise persisted, the home team would be charged a timeout. After all timeouts were exhausted, a delay of game penalty would be charged. After 18 years on the books, the rule was finally abolished in 2007.

NM Highlands completed the New Mexico sweep, winning a 69-55 shoot out over Western NM last night (9/6/25), behind Jeffery Jones’ record breaking performance. True Freshman RB Jeffery Jones broke the D2 freshman single game rushing yards record of 380 yards, which was set Tiffin’s Garrion Corbin on 11/6/02. 🏈Last night, Jones ran for 385 on just 22 carries (20 less carries than Corbin’s 44) and scored 4 TDs, setting the new freshman single game rushing yards record. With a total of 608 rushing yards in his first 2 games, the freshman season rushing yards record of 2,064 (set by Joique Bell of Wayne St in 2006) appears obtainable. Jones needs 1,457 yards in the next 9 games (161.9 yards per game) to break that record. Jones wasn’t the only Highlands’ player that had a great game. Highlands was also led to the win by: 🏈 Tevita Valeti, 11 Carries for 138 Yds & 2 TDs; 🏈 Jaden Montalvo, 5 Kickoff Returns for 187 Yds, including returning the opening kickoff 95 Yds to the house; 🏈 Ike Udengwu, 6 Cmps on 12 Atts for 135 Yds & a TD; 🏈 Mike Jones, 3 Recs for 44 Yds; 🏈 Awsten Turnbow, 11 Tackles (9 Solo & 2 Ast); & 🏈 Britt Alexander, 9 for 9 on PATs & 2 for 2 on FGs (25 Yds & 40 Yds). Full-speed Practice #3 in the books for the 49ers. Highlights... 🏈Great battle between Renardo Green and Mike Evans on a nice deep pass from Brock Purdy. Green won with the PBU. Green: "A dawg recognizes a dawg. So we're going to go at it and sharpen each others' swords." 🏈Renardo Green spoke at length about how much Kyle Shanahan's belief in him has elevated his confidence. Seems that some totally misread the brief Seattle "benching" 🏈Another CB highlight: Jack Jones INT'd Mac Jones on rollout jump ball to Jacob Cowing. Jones has been a spark plug this camp 🏈It was the De'Zhaun Stribling and Demarcus Robinson show at WR today. Stribling is eminently impressive physically — just really hard to cover with his traits. Robinson is a reliable vet whose roster stock only increases with Ricky Pearsall still dealing with last season's PCL injury 🏈Darrell Luter Jr. (final year of rookie deal) did have a nice PBU vs Robinson 🏈Punt returners... -Jacob Cowing -Jordan Watkins -Junior Bergen -Will Pauling -Wesley Grimes Cowing had a couple catches today and a first down on a reverse but has not been overly productive on offense. He's the 49ers' shortest WR. His ticket to the 53 might be through that PR position 🏈Jaden Dugger, the rookie LB with the 7-foot wingspan, is a LONG strider. Nice range on a throw to the flat today 🏈Mac Jones is constantly funny. Most competitive 49ers' training camp practice so far ended Block 3 — fittingly, it coincided with Kyle Shanahan's return to the podium. Some highlights: 🏈Upton Stout will be a HUGE part of this defense. Pick 6 on a Brock Purdy-to-Demarcus Robinson try today. Raheem Morris said Stout is SF's starting "Star" — that was Jalen Ramsey's versatile position in LA's defense 🏈OL/DL 1-on-1s didn't go well for Connor Colby, who lost multiple reps (rookie James Thompson got him twice). Robert Jones continued as top LG. Brett Toth (concussion) watched from sideline 🏈Romello Height had a fun multi-rep battle with Colton McKivitz. Slipped lost Round 1, then jumped offsides twice, then ripped out a wicked inside spin move — speedy potential on full display. Height says he picks Trent Williams' brain after practice (smart move, per sources) 🏈De'Zhaun Stribling was back in team drills. Purdy's first pass: Crisp out-breaker to the rookie, who continues to look polished and explosive. Stribling did log a catch vs Stout on another out later on 🏈Biggest offensive play came when 49ers spread defense out with Stribling and Co. to set up Purdy-to-McCaffrey on a 25-yard post 🏈The logjam of young DTs — Sebastian Valdez, Bryson Eason, and James Thompson — will be interesting to sort out. Alfred Collins had a big pass bat-down today, one of his specialties 🏈Jordan Watkins has had some struggles over the middle and today he dropped an intermediate crosser in traffic from Adrian Martinez 🏈Nice adjustment from Junior Bergen on a similar route but with Kurtis Rourke at QB. Throw was a touch late and behind Bergen but the gritty young WR made it work. His good camp continues 🏈Best practice so far for vet CB Nate Hobbs, who notched 3 pass breakups, including one vs Bergen. Farrell's pass-game usage has gone way up this camp; looks like a trusted target for 13 now 🏈Deommodore Lenoir INT of Purdy came on the first team's second red-zone try. Fourth down as time expired, so Purdy had to force a throw since no one was open and the "game" was on the line. Lenoir undercut Robinson 🏈Big run stop from rookie DT Gracen Halton, who's one of the most vocal players on the field.
