Madurai Airport connectivity is a major issue. As the Hon’ble Minister is aware, flight connectivity between Madurai and Chennai has been reduced, and at present only four flights are operating. Earlier, there were eight flights to Chennai, but the number has now been reduced. Similarly, flight services between Madurai and Bengaluru have also been curtailed. Earlier, the U.S. had requested the evacuation of the airport, which has also been serving as a military hub, similar to what has been happening with Ben Gurion. This shows that Iran has not ceased its attacks and, today, has continued waves of missile and drone missions against American bases in the region. As I said in a previous post, the U.S. is reorganizing its logistics at airports in Israel.
