The president blamed his poor performance on "traveling around the world" before the debate. For the record, Biden was taking naps at Camp David in the days leading up to the debate. "I decided to travel around the world a couple of times... shortly before the debate," Biden said according to The Hill. "I didn’t listen to my staff… and then I almost fell asleep on stage," "It's not an excuse but an explanation." This should make Democrats feel much better.
