2016 Cubs were special

I always laugh at that bunt from Heyward. Bc it was SO bad and yet it accomplished exactly what he was going for. Man on 2nd, 1 out. Except it was better bc he was faster than Contreras lol love it

I miss when we had some clutch. We had it for a year and it was magical.

Imagine how Heyward would be viewed if the cubs never won. God he was awful

I remember this like it was yesterday, it felt so defeating. They kept showing Cueto cheering in the dugout, and I just kept thinking about the gem he pitched in game 1, I still don’t know if we could’ve clawed out a win against him a second time. This comeback saved our season!

Thank God Heyward was a gold glover and A+ glue guy because holy fuck that bunt in that situation summed up his Cubs hitting career haha

Two things I noticed about this: 1) crazy what a shutdown closer can do 2) Javy actually had a 2 strike approach and didn’t have his huge leg kick
