In the run up to the referendum, I was stopped in the street by someone and pointed this out and where we’d end up. He said “that’d never happen now”…I really want to chuck that guy in the sea and ask him how it feels.
In an ideal world, we would pursue the highest standards and lead the world in every way possible. Instead, it's profiteering at every level of society at the expense of the general public. It's an outright disgrace.
The Tories have broken every promise. The referendum should be null and void as a result. It was a verbal contract between us and the government and they have broken the terms of that contract. @acgrayling @campbellclaret @LBC @mrjamesob
I really can’t understand how those who voted for Brexit, saying we’ve had better standards than EU in many things, are fine with those said standards being reduced.
@BoudikkaT We need to bring standards back to our nation.
The government should be telling the water companies what water quality we as consumers expect. They have had the money to do all the improvements, the fact that they gave the profits as dividends and loaded themselves up with debt no more excuses.
There has been a nonstop list of Tory failings. It’s almost inconceivable that in just 5 years the damage done to the country. Labour don’t seem to be planning on returning us to the quality of life we had, only promising not to make it worse. Big thinking is needed.
