2018. Van Jones informs Jay-Z that Black America is thriving under President Trump's economy. Jay-Z responds by saying that money doesn't equal happiness. BTW, for all those suddenly offended by the term Black Jobs, have a look at CNN's chyron.

It's not about money is always said by someone like Jay-Z who doesn't have money problems. If you are struggling to pay your bills, buy groceries, and put gas in the car then it is all about money.

It's amazing what a huge net worth gives you the comfort to say.

Why isn't Jay-Z donating his billions then, if it's about how you treat people?

@Shem_Infinite What an absolutely ignorant person he is. I know almost every person that’s seen this is struggling under this economy. It’s always rich people that make statements like this.

Maybe money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy groceries & housing which matters a whole lot to people who are struggling to do that right now.

🚨 DJ AKADEMIKS SIT DOWN INTERVIEW WITH CHARLAMAGNE MAY HAVE JUST CONFIRMED A THEORY THAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR YEARS ABOUT CHARLAMAGNE THA GOD’S “BLACK EFFECT” BRAND. 👀 💭 I’ve been saying for a while that Charlamagne Tha God’s “Black Effect” podcast network was inspired by Jay-Z & Beyoncé’s song “Black Effect.” During his face-off interview with DJ Akademiks, Charlamagne confirmed that’s exactly where the name came from. 🗣️ Charlamagne explained: 👀 He admired Roc Nation’s Paper Plane logo and reached out to Jay-Z’s longtime associate Emory Jones to help create the branding for his podcast network. 👀 Charlamagne said the same designer behind Roc Nation’s Paper Plane logo also designed the Black Effect logo. 👀 He then admitted he got the name “Black Effect” directly from Jay-Z & Beyoncé’s song and asked for permission to use it for his company. 🗣️ Charlamagne: “The Black Effect… that’s a Jay-Z and Beyoncé song. I wanted to name my company Black Effect. I got that from the song. Can I get permission to do that?” Charlamagne also acknowledged that he has relationships with people close to Jay-Z, saying there’s one individual inside that circle whom he considers like a “big brother,” although he chose not to reveal the person’s name. For those who have long believed Charlamagne’s Black Effect brand had direct ties to Jay-Z’s influence like I have, this interview appears to confirm where the name and branding originated. What do y’all think?
