Huge credit to Max Purcell for being honest and transparent. The amount found appears to be very small and as a result of an IV infusion and unlikely to help his performance. But he understands that failing a drug test has consequences unlike both Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek.

Max’s integrity & ethics really underscore the lack thereof in Sinner & Swiatek. They are supposed to be the two top players, but he’s the one being a true role model here.

Purcell should not be penalized. Yet another fake doping scandal created by ridiculous anti-doping rules that serve no purpose other than create traps out of things over which players do not reasonably have control. This damages the game and players for no ostensible benefit.
