This play happened a couple of years ago in a regional final matchup. Unique to say the least. A single up the middle to center field. One run scores. The center fielder charges and throws home. The second runner is coming in to score. The runner slides, the catcher swipes at his arm, was he safe or out? The issue here is the runner who scored before stays behind home plate and is waving for the next runner to get down. The home plate umpire bumps into him, trips, and falls down and doesn’t see the play. 🤯 You can defer to the field umpire but if he didn’t see it, what call can you make? 🤷‍♂️ Some said the runner should be out because the player who scored first interfered with the home plate umpire. I have never seen a play like this. What do you think? What’s the call? Safe or out?

This happened between the Dodgers and Cardinals several days ago. Mookie Betts singles to right and Andy Pages is on his way home from second base. Phillies right fielder Adolis Garcia comes up firing and throws a strike to home plate. The catcher goes to tag, Pages slides- the call- safe! The Cardinals challenged the call but in looking over the replay you can see that Andy Pages never touched home plate. But, the challenge was to see if the catcher tagged him. Replay rules that the catcher did not tag him. So the call stands- he’s safe! But, he missed home plate! Replay does not have the authority to change the call just because he missed home plate. 🤯 That is a bizarre play!💯 Do you think a call should be overturned if they are looking at a particular part of the play but notice something else like this where the runner didn’t touch home plate?

Imagine you, and your wife are returning a package to Kohl’s department store, you look up and you’re surrounded by four police cars telling you to get out with your hands up. Turns out the driver’s license plate came up stolen and was picked up by flock cameras. Problem is the car was not stolen. Some human input the license plate wrong, and the plate came up stolen in California.. He was detained by the cops for an hour as he was explaining that he runs a social media platform that test drives cars for different dealerships, and car manufacturers, and he had proper paperwork with him to prove this. He finally got it sorted. The company laughingly says that this occurrence is rare, but actually it isn’t. If this can happen this way to him, it can happen to anyone.

This happened today at the Cooperstown Village All Star Village in Oneonta, New York. The 12U championship game, 6-0 Alpha One vs 4-2 St. Pete Rough Riders National. Alpha One had just hit a grand slam home run to tie it 7-7 with no outs, and 5 minutes left. (They have a max game time clock) But the umpire called the batter out on an appeal for not touching home plate. You can see the batter jump and it’s hard to tell if he caught the edge of the plate, but he backs up and he looks like he touches the plate with his foot. What’s strange is you don’t hear any coaches telling the catcher or pitcher to appeal at first. However, you see the umpire talking to the catcher. They throw the ball to home the first time but no ruling is made. Then the umpire talks to the catcher again and they throw the ball home again on an appeal I’m guessing. The umpire calls him out. This is not a Rec league game, this is a travel ball championship where teams from all over the country compete and lots of money is spent. I personally thought it was very odd that you hear no one yelling to appeal and that you see the umpire talking with the catcher. In a still frame photo, to me, you can clearly see the batter’s right foot on home plate, imho. It should have been a grand slam. Alpha One feels they got robbed of the championship. I agree, but you be the judge. Did he touch home plate? Or, did the umpire make the correct call? Out or safe?

If Xabi Alonso’s plan of signing Pep Chavarria is to keep Jorrel Hato on the bench, i wouldn’t like it, Hato was a beast at Ajax but stayed as a backup to Marc Cucurella when he arrived at Chelsea, this is his chance and the club should not deny him that, he should be our starting left back, he’s going to be a top player if given enough playing time, this club is prone to underrating stars with potentials and they end up regretting it at the end. Look at Lewis Hall now, he’s valued at €110M but was offloaded by Chelsea like he was nothing, same thing with Renato Veiga who was denied playing time until he ran out of patience and left, he was solid in the champions league and world cup games, I can mention a lot of good players that Chelsea underrated and they went ahead to prove us wrong. Pep Chavarria might be a good player but he’s 28 years old, we can’t lose a 21 years old Jorrel because of him. If Chelsea FC sell Hato, I’d not be happy with the club and Xabi Alonso in particular.

This 77 year old gentleman served our country and lost everything in Helene. Is he getting help? No. His home is ruined from the flood and the insurance company is giving him the run around. He can’t get up to his home because the terrain is so messed up, and his electric chair was ruin in the flood. Listen to his story. It is so heartbreaking. He will take any help he can get. Our veterans should not be treated like this. It’s sad and makes me mad as he‼️!

Who can be a bigger hypocrite than him, he earns money from India and flatters the anglophones (angrej). When the VFX in Ramayana was a bit half-backed, he was criticising it a lot but when the VFX of a Hollywood movie is not up to the mark, he is defending it....
