Reports of alleged attack by a gang of 50 on tourists from cruiseship. Facts: ✅️1. The said reporter was NOT on site when the incident happened. It is through 3rd party reporting, which is wrong. We are combing through the CCTV footage to see the alleged marauding youth so far nothing. Imagine for once a gang of 50 causing havoc in the heart of Mombasa and NOT a single video clip even from our agile social media fanatics. ✅️2. A group of youth around 10 accosted one of the guests, and they attempted to snatch his crossbody bag, but he resisted. In the process, he lost his phone. Tourist police and county security moved in very fast, and we commend them. ✅️3. No tours were cancelled, I repeat. NO tours were cancelled. For two days programme went on uninterrupted. We thank Mombasa residents for the warm welcome as always . ✅️4. No KTB officials went on board the ship to apologise to the passengers. Tourist police went to have a one on one with the affected visitors who said that he feels unlucky in that a few months ago, he was mugged in Paris. Finally, my appeal to The Standard Digital and their team to be more factual and not to go over the top in their reporting. ✅️I confirm that this was isolated incident, and visitors from cruiseship always get top security surveillance . He can find offensive players with or without pressure. ♤ A thinker on the ball, he selected passes very well. One thing I’ve always admired about Kobe, after losing in 2008, he didn’t make excuses and he didn’t look for a shortcut. Celtics had 4 All Stars. Kobe could have forced the front office to add more All Stars, or run to south beach and create a super team. He didn’t, he knew what he had was enough and knew what it will take to win. Instead he said “Let’s run it back” Ariza isn’t just the only one. The biggest impact Kobe had was on Pau. Kobe toughened up Pau, showed him what it takes to win. It’s not just “Kobe Stans” who say this, the stars say it too. Just listen to Paul Pierce, he will tell you the same. Without Kobe, Pau would be just another skilled Big! And this is no disrespect towards Pau. He will tell you himself! He truly had the blueprint. He believed the work was the answer. He trained harder, challenged his teammates, and prepared them off the court just as much as on it. That’s real leadership. Not always nice, not always soft, but honest, demanding, and built to win. Kobe understood he couldn’t win alone, so he made sure the guys next to him were ready when it mattered. That’s Mamba Mentality. Discipline. Accountability. No excuses. Raise the standard.
