The CCP just passed a new “ethnic unity” law it claims reaches all the way into the United States. Under the new law, Beijing says speech or activism it considers harmful to “ethnic unity” can be punished. The CCP is using this law to go after supporters of Taiwanese independence, Hong Kong rights, and others who reject Beijing’s rule. The CCP also claims the law applies beyond China’s borders. That includes journalists, academics, activists, and others here in America.

I've questioned the Government today over their response to the imprisonment of 45 pro democracy campaigners on Hong Kong. Kier Starmer must stand against China’s draconian abuse of political freedoms in Hong Kong. 🇭🇰🇬🇧 The Conservative Party when in Government stood firmly against the National Security Law which has led to the imprisonment and suppression of the people of Hong Kong. We gave a safe route for those needing protection. The Labour Government must provide the mettle needed to handle the relationship with China, to stand up for the freedoms and democracy of Hong Kong, and to raise their game.
