My speech on the Phillipines TPG Event on 7/2/23. My topic is : Pi Network Community Engagement in GCV $314,159. I did analysis why the Eco system needs a united price which we strongly recommend GCV $314,159. Why low consensus price merchants also need united price even though they didn't realize how important it is. Ecosystems successful and mature has a condition which is they should have a united price to build up merchant confidence that open mainnet will open soon If there is a big gap in price, that means the open mainnet time will be a long time or will never reach the united price. Merchants need an open mainnet in 3-6 months so that they can have Fiat to restock before the inner cycle chain is created. Because of this reason we recommend all pioneers support GCV! It will help expedite migration speed and the eco system mature. When these qualities open, the mainnet is there. No need to ask CT because CT cannot make decisions on behalf of pioneers. They can only evaluate based on ecosystems mature status. So let's united together to support GCV!

This is the account of a friend of mine. He joined InterLink about three months after I did through my referral. In the beginning, he didn’t have much confidence in the project, so his activity level was quite low. His mining rate was only 38.54%, and his group mining rate was 43%. In my opinion, these are very low numbers and suggest that he was barely participating in the ecosystem. However, toward the end of 2025, when InterLink launched ITLX and announced plans to build its own blockchain, he began to see the bigger vision behind the project. He contacted me to register as an Ambassador, and from that point on, everything changed. He started mining consistently every day, became more active in community activities, and has now accumulated more than 30 ACS points. An account that once appeared inactive is now steadily improving its metrics. Recently, he shared with me that he passed KYC Step 1 very quickly. He is now continuing to improve his indicators as he works toward Step 2 and Step 3. This story taught me something interesting. Many people focus on asking why one person receives KYC before another. But sometimes, the more important question is how much effort, contribution, and participation we have put into the ecosystem ourselves. Without metrics such as ACS, HCS, mining activity, and contribution records, it would be extremely difficult to ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process. Of course, no system is perfect. But at least these indicators provide a clear framework for recognizing participation, contribution, and long-term commitment within the community. What I appreciate most about this story is not that he received KYC. It’s that someone who once lacked confidence in the project decided to change, take action, and remain consistent. Sometimes success doesn’t come from starting earlier than everyone else. After my yesterday post regarding merchant need a united consensus price to join in barter. I received some merchant and businesses feed back. They told me what I analysis is a totally true and indeed! Business man who are also pioneers support Pi Network. However they dare not to join in now ( especially with high value products) just because the price hasn't been united yet. Even though a lot of pioneers and merchants support GCV already but there are many malls and merchant price is super low exist. Some price maybe is only $1 or less. I heard a merchant who list his products on xx mall complain. He said he earned more than 2000 Pi but he can't survive now because he ran out of inventory and no FIAT to restock. This is a proof that low consensus cannot help merchant get rid of cash flow problems. Merchant can only resolve this problem when more merchant join in to create inner eco cycle or open mainnet. As I discussed before open mainnet need eco utility mature. But how can eco utility mature when there is no united price and safe price? This is the question all community should think about it? If all merchants want to realize cash flow, there must have Consensus price so it's fair to all merchants! Otherwise it will create speculation on Barter products and it will damage all Eco. Yesterday I saw Hokanews post the article which is:" The Price of Pi Coin is not $314,159, Here are the actual facts from the words of Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis ". This led to all global community shock and debate. The following is what my understanding of this article and my explanation is to let the community avoid the misleading of Dr.Nicolas Statement! Pay attention! This is only my personal opinion for reference only. I am not representing Dr. Nicolas or Pi Network Core Team!🙏 1. Dr Nicolas never guides or indicates what the Pi Coin price is. He stated one year before: Pi Price was created by pioneers. Therefore Pi Network CT never judges price or indicates/ guide price. They never interrupt pioneer community activities regarding price. They strictly obey USA SEC regulations! If someone uses Dr. Nicolas name to manipulate price, this is a fake statement. It's not Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis statement. 2. Dr Nicolas Kokkalis answered some Pioneers questions regarding 0.01 transaction fees around one year before. Some Pioneers think if $314,159 is Pi price then 0.01 Pi transaction fees are too high. Therefore Dr. Nicolas Kokkalis answered that 0.01 is fixed right now. But it will be adjusted with time. It can be 0.001 or 0.0001. Maybe some day, it can be 1/1 million which is 0.000001 which is the lowest in the Blockchain system. He just gave an example and he said 0.000001 is Pi Network Blockchain function to adjust the transaction fees Lowest limit. 3. There are logic mistakes in Mr. Lu statement. The possibility of 0.000001 doesn't mean it is. How can we change the possibility to reality. This is the critical thing we need to consider! Right now large portions of Pioneers Community accept GCV $314,159. And we can see in China there are 100 million USD transactions to support GCV! However I only see $200 1 transaction to support 1 million USD. If I am wrong, please send me the substantiate proof. 4. Our GCV $314,159 never goes against higher consensus price. $314,159 is safe bottom line to start open mainnet. And we can see many merchant promises to use GCV when this price is fixed which includes real property and cars vehicles, gold ect. 5. If the price can't be united, the Eco system mature time will take a long time. I don't think this is what pioneers and merchants want to see. In addition, the longer close the mainnet, the more pioneers and merchants will lose. I heard from Chinese merchants that they almost used up all their inventory and funds to support GCV. They are waiting for the price to be fixed and open the mainnet so that they can have cash flow to restock. If the open mainnet is delayed, they will have a hard time to support anyone. 6. Not only GCV merchants need to open the mainnet soon, low consensus merchants such as $100 or 1$ price has almost run out of the inventory or fund too. No matter the high or low price for barter, all merchants need cash FiAT when the industry cycle is not built up. I heard one merchant gets 2000 Pi from barter by using a low price,he complained that he has no cash to support anymore. 6. In order to save and help all low and high price merchants, united prices are critical to resolve all cash flow problems. Only when united prices, the outside eco businesses know how to pledge pi to use Blockchain and create the demand of Pi. So merchants and pioneers can have converters use the same price! I call on all global community pioneers and merchants united to GCV together and don't fight prices anymore. It will hurt the community if you can't settle the price down soon! So why we need open mainnet and when it's the good time to open and can we make it faster? I think Yes! WE build up Pi public blockchain is like we are building a highway. When the highway complete, all drivers need this highway because it can bring them benefit. And the highway can charge them fees every time when they pass. Pi is similar like a highway. The drivers are outside eco and different organization. We all know Pi WEB 3.0 blockchain has great value. This will attract outside eco come. When they come, they don't have Pi to pledge to use our blockchain. So they need to use their FIAT to buy our Pi. However, if our inner community has difference on price, it's like the highway has been controlled by different groups. These groups charge different fees. It will confuse outside eco and make them hesitate to come. That's why I believe open mainnet need united price for outside eco. Of course united price can help inner eco develop grow fast too. There are two options regarding price: 1. Let the pioneers and merchants slowly reach the agreement and we do nothing . This is let it go naturally. I do know some pioneers advocate this way. But I am sure it will take long journey because more than 45 million pioneers or maybe will never reach agreement. They will use from $0.01 to 1 million $ different price. 2. Our pioneers community advocate GCV because it has been accepted by a lot pioneers and merchants already. If all pioneers can understand this GCV price logic and if they hold Pi, they will support it. The reason is so simple. It relate to their self interest. This can be done very fast if we all united together. Another reason is based on a business accounting system. All business has tax reporting system even crypto currency. From 2019, USA IRS has the tax regulation on individual crypto currency capital gain. Currently most merchants are pioneers, they use their individual Pi Wallet. I see recently there is developer/merchant business wallet come out. Then they should use business Pi wallet. So it's easier for them to track crypto business profit and loss. As an accountant I know all capital gain or loss are calculated by using USD in USA. So accountant need a unified price. If not, the company will hesitate to join Pi eco system. Based the above reason, i call on Pi Community to support GCV price so that eco can satisfied prosperous condition to open mainnet. As for KYC and migration, the technology part has been mature or almost mature. And we believe CT and all pioneers can follow very fast. During close mainnet all merchants should do barter according to your availability. Please don't put all your products now! Close mainnet period is for cultivate the Pi Payment environment! If you have inventory and small items, you can put maybe 10% or less of your products to barter. All business owners should realize before opening mainnet there is risk of loss. Why many Chinese merchant do it? Because they are pioneers too ! They want to realize Pi GCV price so they do it volunteering to use inventory and small items with limit supply. Therefore it won't have much risk. And if open mainnet can reach GCV, they will not incur loss. So please all merchants do it wisely. Close mainnet small items and use inventory.
