ثمانية أطفال … وقصة شعب لا يُهزم حين تنتصر الحياة على الحصار مشاهد توثّق عودة الأطفال الخُدّج إلى أحضان أمهاتهم… تلك اللحظات التي لا تُقدّر بثمن، والتي جاءت جبرًا لخواطرنا بعد وجعٍ لا يوصف. لم تكن هذه العودة مجرد حدث… بل كانت ثمرة تضحيات عظيمة، قدّمها الكادر الصحي وأبناء شعبنا، من دمائهم، وأجسادهم، وجوعهم، ونزوحهم… تضحيات لا يستطيع أحد أن يتخيّل حجمها. هذه اللحظات كُتبت بدماء من استُشهدوا، وبآلام من اعتُقلوا وعُذّبوا، وبصبر من لا يزالون خلف القضبان، ينتظرون لحظة كهذه… لحظة الحياة. نحن لا نتحدث عن أطفال فقط، بل عن مستقبل شعب، وعن غدٍ يُكتب من جديد، عن طفل فلسطيني حاول الاحتلال أن يمحوه، فإذا به يعود شاهدًا على فشل الإبادة، وصمود الحياة في وجه الموت. اليوم عادوا… ثمانية أطفال خدّج، كانوا بين الحياة والموت، فعادوا ليحكوا قصة انتصار الإرادة والإيمان. في نوفمبر 2023، وتحت حصار مجمع الشفاء الطبي، حيث قُطع الماء والكهرباء والأكسجين، وكان هناك 33 طفلًا خدّجًا في الحضّانات… نُقلوا تحت القصف، في ظروف بالغة القسوة، بحثًا عن لحظة أمان. غطّينا أجسادهم بالقصدير لنحميهم من البرد، وحرمنا أنفسنا من الماء لنوفّر لهم قطرة حياة، ففقدنا بعضهم… وبقي بعضهم يقاوم. وثّقنا صورهم، فاهتزّ لها ضمير العالم، حتى جاء يوم إجلائهم إلى جمهورية مصر العربية، في رحلة محفوفة بالخطر، بين الدبابات والجنود. دفعنا ثمنًا باهظًا كي لا نتركهم… وبقينا معهم حتى آخر لحظة. واليوم… عادوا. عادوا أحياء، إلى أحضان أمهاتهم، ليقولوا للعالم: إن إرادة الحياة أقوى من إرادة القتل، وأن غزة… رغم الألم، تصنع المجد، وتكتب النصر بإذن الله. This was not just an event. It was the result of immense sacrifices made by healthcare workers and our people— through their blood, bodies, hunger, and displacement. Sacrifices beyond comprehension. These moments were written with the blood of martyrs, the suffering of the detained and tortured, and the patience of those still imprisoned— waiting for a moment like this… a moment of life. We are not speaking only of children, but of a nation’s future being reborn. Of a Palestinian child whom the occupation tried to erase, yet returned as living proof that life defeats extermination. Today, they have returned… Eight premature babies who once hovered between life and death, now telling a story of faith and resilience. In November 2023, under the siege of Al-Shifa Medical Complex, water, electricity, and oxygen were cut off. There were 33 premature babies in incubators. Under bombardment, they were moved in extremely dangerous and harsh conditions in search of safety. We wrapped their fragile bodies in foil to protect them from the cold. We deprived ourselves of clean water to give them a chance to live. Some were lost… others survived. Their images were captured and shared, shaking the conscience of the world. After ten days, they were evacuated to Egypt in a perilous journey amid tanks and soldiers. We paid a heavy price to stay by their side… and never abandoned them. Today, they return—alive— to their mothers’ embrace, declaring to the world: That the will to live is stronger than the will to kill. And that Gaza—despite all pain— continues to create dignity, and write victory, by the will of God.

If you look from 1958 onward, the Gulf countries have stood with Lebanon every time we needed help. We have 450,000 Lebanese living in the Gulf. Most of the billions of dollars transferred by the diaspora to Lebanon come from the Gulf. So this is an umbilical relationship between us and the Gulf, and we are grateful for it. Every time Lebanon went through a crisis, the Gulf opened their doors and allowed our people to obtain visas, go and work, and send money back to Lebanon. This is very important for us, and we appreciate everything they have done. Saudi Arabia in particular has been the longest-serving country standing by Lebanon, and it has consistently supported Lebanon. They were also among the countries that helped lead the Taif Agreement, which ended the civil war in Lebanon. Saudi Arabia remains very engaged in supporting stability in Lebanon. I believe Saudi Arabia and the United States are aligned on the future of Lebanon and the region. Our other friends—France, the UK, Egypt, Qatar, and Europe in general—have also stood by us and helped us over the years. We have many friends, but we need to align ourselves on how to move forward. The key now is for this government to disarm Hezbollah and to continue peace talks in Washington in order to sign a peace agreement. معلومات صادمة لبيروت بوليتيكس في تحرّك دبلوماسي غير مسبوق، أجرى سفراء دول الاتحاد الأوروبي السبع والعشرين، إلى جانب سفراء كندا، والمملكة المتحدة، والنرويج، وسويسرا، وأستراليا، سلسلة لقاءات مع كبار المسؤولين اللبنانيين، في مقدّمهم رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام ورئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع، وذلك بين 7 و13 تموز. وبحسب المعلومات، فإن هذه الجولة ليست سوى البداية، إذ يُنتظر أن تشمل الأيام والأسابيع المقبلة سبع زيارات إضافية إلى مراجع سياسية ونيابية. الرسالة الغربية، وفق ما تنقله مصادر مطّلعة، كانت واضحة وحاسمة: ضرورة الإسراع في التوصل إلى اتفاق مع صندوق النقد الدولي. عدم الالتفاف على التعديلات المطلوبة في قانون إصلاح المصارف. وعدم إفراغ مشروع قانون الاستقرار المالي واسترداد الودائع من مضمونه الإصلاحي. وتؤكد المصادر أن هذا الحشد الدبلوماسي شدّد على ضرورة أن تأتي التشريعات اللبنانية مطابقة بالكامل لما يتم الاتفاق عليه مع صندوق النقد الدولي، من دون تعديلات تُفرغ الإصلاحات من أهدافها. ويأتي هذا التحرّك بعد انسحاب مصرف لبنان من مسار التفاوض مع الصندوق، وبالتزامن مع بدء مجلس النواب مناقشة التعديلات على قانون إصلاح المصارف. وبحسب معلومات خاصة حصلت عليها بيروت بوليتيكس، حملت اللقاءات رسالتين أساسيتين: الرسالة الأولى: عدم العبث بالتشريعات الإصلاحية أو محاولة الالتفاف عليها، لأن ذلك سيؤدي إلى إعادة إنتاج الأزمة نفسها التي يعيشها لبنان منذ سبع سنوات. الرسالة الثانية: لا تمويل دولياً حقيقياً للبنان، ولا استعادة للثقة، ولا عودة للاستثمارات، من دون اتفاق رسمي مع صندوق النقد الدولي. وتضيف المعلومات أن عدداً من السفراء يعتبرون أن بعض الجهات المعارضة للاتفاق مع الصندوق لا تنطلق من الحرص على أموال المودعين، التي تستمر قيمتها بالتآكل منذ سنوات، بل من اعتبارات تتعلق بالحفاظ على الصلاحيات والنفوذ، وحماية مصالح قوى مالية ومصرفية نافذة. وبحسب هذه المصادر، فإن القوى التي تعرقل الاتفاق لا تطرح أي بديل اقتصادي أو مالي قابل للتنفيذ. أما الخلاصة التي ينقلها عدد من السفراء والمؤسسات المالية الدولية، فهي أن استمرار تعطيل الاتفاق مع صندوق النقد قد يُبقي لبنان تحت وطأة تداعيات أزمته الاقتصادية لعشرين عاماً على الأقل. تبقى هذه المواقف منسوبة إلى مصادر دبلوماسية وإلى مؤسسات مالية دولية، لكنها تعكس حجم القلق الدولي من مسار الإصلاحات في لبنان. لقد أَعذر من أنذر. Shocking information obtained by Beirut Politics In an unprecedented diplomatic move, the ambassadors of the 27 European Union member states, along with the ambassadors of Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, and Australia, held a series of meetings with senior Lebanese officials, including Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, between July 7 and July 13. According to the information, this round of meetings is only the beginning, with seven additional visits to political and parliamentary leaders expected in the coming days and weeks. According to informed sources, the Western message was clear and firm: The need to swiftly reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund. No circumvention of the required amendments to the Banking Reform Law. No weakening of the Financial Stability and Deposit Recovery Law by stripping it of its reform content. The sources confirmed that this broad diplomatic effort stressed that Lebanese legislation must fully comply with whatever is agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund, without amendments that would undermine the purpose of the reforms. This diplomatic initiative comes after Banque du Liban withdrew from the negotiation process with the IMF, while Parliament has begun discussing amendments to the Banking Reform Law. According to exclusive information obtained by Beirut Politics, the meetings carried two key messages: The first message: Do not tamper with reform legislation or attempt to circumvent it, because doing so would reproduce the very crisis Lebanon has been suffering from for the past seven years. The second message: There will be no meaningful international financing for Lebanon, no restoration of confidence, and no return of investments without a formal agreement with the International Monetary Fund. The information further states that several ambassadors believe some of the parties opposing an agreement with the IMF are not motivated by concern for depositors’ money, whose value continues to erode year after year, but rather by considerations related to preserving influence and authority, and protecting the interests of powerful financial and banking groups. According to these sources, the forces obstructing an agreement have failed to present any viable economic or financial alternative. The conclusion conveyed by several ambassadors and international financial institutions is that continued obstruction of an agreement with the IMF could leave Lebanon burdened by the consequences of its economic crisis for at least another twenty years. These positions remain attributed to diplomatic sources and international financial institutions, but they reflect the extent of international concern over the course of Lebanon’s reform process. معلومات صادمة لبيروت بوليتيكس في تحرّك دبلوماسي غير مسبوق، أجرى سفراء دول الاتحاد الأوروبي السبع والعشرين، إلى جانب سفراء كندا، والمملكة المتحدة، والنرويج، وسويسرا، وأستراليا، سلسلة لقاءات مع كبار المسؤولين اللبنانيين، في مقدّمهم رئيس الحكومة نواف سلام ورئيس حزب القوات اللبنانية سمير جعجع، وذلك بين 7 و13 تموز. وبحسب المعلومات، فإن هذه الجولة ليست سوى البداية، إذ يُنتظر أن تشمل الأيام والأسابيع المقبلة سبع زيارات إضافية إلى مراجع سياسية ونيابية. الرسالة الغربية، وفق ما تنقله مصادر مطّلعة، كانت واضحة وحاسمة: ضرورة الإسراع في التوصل إلى اتفاق مع صندوق النقد الدولي. عدم الالتفاف على التعديلات المطلوبة في قانون إصلاح المصارف. وعدم إفراغ مشروع قانون الاستقرار المالي واسترداد الودائع من مضمونه الإصلاحي. وتؤكد المصادر أن هذا الحشد الدبلوماسي شدّد على ضرورة أن تأتي التشريعات اللبنانية مطابقة بالكامل لما يتم الاتفاق عليه مع صندوق النقد الدولي، من دون تعديلات تُفرغ الإصلاحات من أهدافها. ويأتي هذا التحرّك بعد انسحاب مصرف لبنان من مسار التفاوض مع الصندوق، وبالتزامن مع بدء مجلس النواب مناقشة التعديلات على قانون إصلاح المصارف. وبحسب معلومات خاصة حصلت عليها بيروت بوليتيكس، حملت اللقاءات رسالتين أساسيتين: الرسالة الأولى: عدم العبث بالتشريعات الإصلاحية أو محاولة الالتفاف عليها، لأن ذلك سيؤدي إلى إعادة إنتاج الأزمة نفسها التي يعيشها لبنان منذ سبع سنوات. الرسالة الثانية: لا تمويل دولياً حقيقياً للبنان، ولا استعادة للثقة، ولا عودة للاستثمارات، من دون اتفاق رسمي مع صندوق النقد الدولي. وتضيف المعلومات أن عدداً من السفراء يعتبرون أن بعض الجهات المعارضة للاتفاق مع الصندوق لا تنطلق من الحرص على أموال المودعين، التي تستمر قيمتها بالتآكل منذ سنوات، بل من اعتبارات تتعلق بالحفاظ على الصلاحيات والنفوذ، وحماية مصالح قوى مالية ومصرفية نافذة. وبحسب هذه المصادر، فإن القوى التي تعرقل الاتفاق لا تطرح أي بديل اقتصادي أو مالي قابل للتنفيذ. أما الخلاصة التي ينقلها عدد من السفراء والمؤسسات المالية الدولية، فهي أن استمرار تعطيل الاتفاق مع صندوق النقد قد يُبقي لبنان تحت وطأة تداعيات أزمته الاقتصادية لعشرين عاماً على الأقل. تبقى هذه المواقف منسوبة إلى مصادر دبلوماسية وإلى مؤسسات مالية دولية، لكنها تعكس حجم القلق الدولي من مسار الإصلاحات في لبنان. لقد أَعذر من أنذر. Shocking information obtained by Beirut Politics In an unprecedented diplomatic move, the ambassadors of the 27 European Union member states, along with the ambassadors of Canada, the United Kingdom, Norway, Switzerland, and Australia, held a series of meetings with senior Lebanese officials, including Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, between July 7 and July 13. According to the information, this round of meetings is only the beginning, with seven additional visits to political and parliamentary leaders expected in the coming days and weeks. According to informed sources, the Western message was clear and firm: The need to swiftly reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund. No circumvention of the required amendments to the Banking Reform Law. No weakening of the Financial Stability and Deposit Recovery Law by stripping it of its reform content. The sources confirmed that this broad diplomatic effort stressed that Lebanese legislation must fully comply with whatever is agreed upon with the International Monetary Fund, without amendments that would undermine the purpose of the reforms. This diplomatic initiative comes after Banque du Liban withdrew from the negotiation process with the IMF, while Parliament has begun discussing amendments to the Banking Reform Law. According to exclusive information obtained by Beirut Politics, the meetings carried two key messages: The first message: Do not tamper with reform legislation or attempt to circumvent it, because doing so would reproduce the very crisis Lebanon has been suffering from for the past seven years. The second message: There will be no meaningful international financing for Lebanon, no restoration of confidence, and no return of investments without a formal agreement with the International Monetary Fund. No issue of the people is too small; we care for every leaf and tend every branch in the garden of people's well-being. Over the past year, the rights and interests of the workforce in new forms of employment have been better protected, facilities have been upgraded to bring more convenience to the elderly, and each family with childcare needs has received a subsidy of RMB 300 yuan per month. When the happy hum of daily life fills every home, the big family of our nation will go from strength to strength. We continued to embrace the world with open arms. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Tianjin and the Global Leaders' Meeting on Women were very successful; and island-wide special customs operations were launched in the Hainan Free Trade Port. To better address climate change, China announced new Nationally Determined Contributions. After announcing the three global initiatives on development, security, and civilization, I put forward the Global Governance Initiative to promote a more just and equitable global governance system. China always stands on the right side of history, and is ready to work with all countries to advance world peace and development and build a community with a shared future for humanity. Not long ago, I attended the opening ceremony of the National Games, and I was glad to see Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao coming together in unity and acting in unison. We should unswervingly implement the policy of One Country, Two Systems, and support Hong Kong and Macao in better integrating into the overall development of our country and maintaining long-term prosperity and stability. 🚨PERSONAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Thank you & Goodbye NigeriaInfoPH & COOL FM Dear Friends … The day has come… After a wonderful 5yrs and 10 months -my journey at NigeriaInfo and Coolfm Port Harcourt…has come to an END. I want to thank the nation’s finest AIM group and the CWIAK family -for a truly remarkable opportunity and experience-hugely fundamental to my journey/development as a man -a broadcaster ..Sports Journalist and a football commentator. What an outstanding Institution!!-Undoubtedly one of the finest in the world -let alone in Africa and our country Nigeria. Surely , the day to recount the interesting events preceding today’s situation will arrive ...but as this journey comes to end for me, I leave with gratitude and immense pride at the effort that I put in...while contributing my quota of service . I always believed that as a team -nobody in the world was inherently better than we can be -if we first of all believed it -and went above and beyond each day —with the actual job at the center of our focus. And as an individual I lived this philosophy everyday too-in my approach to every show…every program and every commentary bit. Whether or not we hit the top at times -is for each observer to say -but the effort to do so drove me everyday-as I needed to justify every precious second/minute —yielded to us by the listener-and something tells me that more often than not - this was achieved!
