🚨🇧🇷 SHOCKING: Brazilian bungee instructor previously joked about “disposing of a body” off the exact bridge where he and 2 colleagues allegedly threw a woman to her death. Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, 21, was thrown from Skeleton Bridge with no cord and died. 32-year-old Luis Felipe Feliciano Egoroff posted a video in Sept 2022 showing a black body bag being tossed off the same bridge, titled “Disposing of a body.” All 3 workers have now been arrested for homicide. 2 fled and were hunted down by a military helicopter. They claim they “blacked out” and don’t remember who failed to attach the rope. Each is now facing up to 30 years in prison. Source: O Globo / Writer: Jamie

A 21 year old woman in Brazil died bungee jumping because the bungee company forgot to attach a safety rope. Three man are being charged with homicide. Her final eerie Instagram post was: "Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge?" That's what I call a cliffhanger. Still... I'm glad she kept it vague. No reason to embarrass three grown men.

June 13, 2026, Location: Ponte do Esqueleto (Skeleton Bridge), São Paulo state, Brazil A 21-year-old woman, Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, died after being thrown from a ~40-meter platform during a rope jump (a bridge swing/pêndulo activity similar to bungee jumping). Organizers from the operating company Entre Cordas or associates failed to attach her safety rope, which remained uncoiled on the ground. She fell straight down and died at the scene from multiple trauma. Bystanders shouted warnings during the incident. Her fiancé was present and collapsed, requiring medical attention. Minutes earlier, she had posted on social media with photos of the setup, writing something like “Who was the crazy one who let me come jump off a bridge???” Six people linked to the operation were arrested. Some fled into nearby forest and were tracked down with helicopter support from Military Police. They are under investigation for negligence, with some facing suspicion of homicide with eventual intent.

🇧🇷 A 21-year-old woman has died after a rope jump in São Paulo state, launched from a bridge without being properly clipped to the safety rope. She fell around 40 meters at the Ponte do Esqueleto. Witnesses say people nearby spotted the loose rope and started shouting just before she went over. 3 men have been arrested. Police say it was an informal group with no company behind it and no permission to run jumps there, and that they never checked the rope was actually attached to her. They were never authorized, never regulated, never stopped, until it was too late. Source: O Globo / Writer: Julie

21-year-old physical education graduate Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas right before a tragic extreme sports excursion at the "Skeleton Bridge" in Limeira, Brazil. Moments before stepping onto the ledge, she shared a selfie with a haunting caption: *"Who was the crazy person who let me jump off a bridge?" What was supposed to be a standard rush of adrenaline turned fatal due to absolute criminal negligence. The rogue crew organizing the jump completely failed to connect the main rope to her safety harness. Bystanders watched in horror as she was launched from the 40-meter platform with the safety lines still sitting disconnected on the deck. The operators immediately panicked and fled into the woods, sparking a massive police manhunt using helicopters that ultimately resulted in six arrests. A chilling reminder of why unregulated tourist operations are a gamble with your life.

A judge told her that morning NOT to go to her daughter’s school. She showed up anyway. When deputies confronted 35-year-old Yana Shnayder, she insisted the court had “no jurisdiction” over her, refused to leave her vehicle, and accused officers of kidnapping her as they arrested her. She was charged with violating an order of protection and resisting a peace officer. Nothing says “the court has no authority over me” quite like leaving the school parking lot in handcuffs.

They forgot to attach the bungee cord. The woman is near the edge of a cliff at the Skeleton Bridge Trail in Limeira, wearing a helmet and with her arms outstretched. Three men lift her, and two of them throw her off the cliff while her fiancé watched. The video appears to show the woman unattached to a bungee cord as she falls 130 feet to the ground below. “According to the police report, at the time of the jump, the safety equipment was not properly fixed,” the governor’s office said in a statement. “The victim did not resist the fall and death was confirmed by SAMU (Serviço de Atendimento Móvel de Urgência, or emergency medical service) teams.” It remains unclear why the bungee cord was not properly secured before she participated in the activity. Six people were initially brought to the Limeira Police District for questioning. Three of them — men aged 27, 32 and 42 — were subsequently arrested in connection with the incident, the governor’s office said. The men were arrested “in flagrante,” or caught in the act, on charges of homicide with eventual intent. Under Brazilian law, this charge applies to cases in which perpetrators did not intend to kill but engaged in a dangerous act that carried a fatal risk.
