One major cause of congestion at the TIDEL Park signal! Vehicles coming from SRP Tools either turn right towards Thiruvanmiyur or go straight towards Madhya Kailash. Some right-turning vehicles occupy the left-side lanes and wait for their green signal. This blocks vehicles going straight, even when their signal is green. In this video, an MTC bus intended to turn right (see the indicator), but positioned itself in the leftmost lane well before the junction. The bus blocked the entire lane, bringing all straight-moving vehicles behind it to a stop and creating avoidable congestion. 🧵 Greater Chennai Traffic Police Greater Chennai Corporation CMOTamilNadu Aadhav Arjuna Sameeran Chennai Updates OMR Updates ＳａｍＰｏｎｒａｊ Omjasvin M D Rajesh 🇮🇳 Vidyasagar Jagadeesan🇮🇳 Reclaim Chennai streets #chennai #omr #traffic #tidel #tidelpark #thiruvanmiyur

The iconic Marina Beach in Chennai is getting ready for the prestigious Blue Flag certification, a global eco-label for clean, safe, and sustainably managed beaches. During a joint inspection today with Team Greater Chennai Corporation which is executing the work, it was wonderful to see clean sand, bamboo shades and watch towers. As announced by the TN Government,Thiruvanmiyur, Palavakkam, and Uthandi beaches in Chennai will follow. Work is also underway in Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Rameshwaram. A total of 10 beaches in Tamil Nadu are on the Blue Flag mission ! #MarinaBeach #BlueFlag #BlueEconomy #SustainableChennai #TamilNadu

This is exactly what I expected from the U-Turn changes in Thoraipakkam by Greater Chennai Traffic Police. Commuters will start taking the opposite-side service roads, creating another choke point for vehicles coming from that direction. Even buses are using OMR service roads nowadays. This change has totally screwed up the traffic flow. 🤦‍♂️

Need how to ‘store water’ ideas ? Ask ⁦Greater Chennai Corporation⁩. Here is Spur Tank Road. Next to it is #Cooum. See all roads next to #Chennai waterways. Not one road has a drain into the watercourse! Don’t take my word for it. No civic body can be this dumb. ⁦CMOTamilNadu⁩

They are here again. They have arrived. From the misty mountains of Gudalur, Nilgiris to the shores of Chennai, the Lantana Elephants have travelled far. Crafted by local tribal artisans from lantana, an invasive weed choking our forests, these elephants now stand tall as symbols of ecosystem restoration and biodiversity conservation in Tamil Nadu. Catch them at the Blue Beach, Marina, during the Pongal holidays. Thanks to Greater Chennai Corporation & KGB IAS for making this possible #lantanaelephants therealeleco

This is Mylapore, off Radhakrishnan Salai near Vivekananda college. NO ONE has come to clear the water here. It’s been like this since yesterday, and by the minute more sewage water is coming out and getting mixed. Water has entered all the houses at ground floor level here. Please do something about this and other parts of Mylapore. Water has never stagnated here, not even during the 2015 floods. All through the year, they kept digging up the roads and multiple times the roads caved in and they kept restoring. Now the whole thing has reversed and water is completely stagnated. People in the apartments and houses here are not able to step outside to get basic needs and provisions. Not even drinking water. We’ve not had power for more than 48 hours now. The power was cut around 10 PM day before yesterday. No network either, until we come out of the apartment or go to some corners in the terrace. Greater Chennai Corporation GREATER CHENNAI POLICE -GCP KINDLY DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS AREA AT THE EARLIEST! #ChennaiRains #CycloneMichaung #Chennai #ChennaiRains2023

File explorer is something that a single dude from Croatia can write in a couple years on and off, and it will be better than anything a multi-billion dollar corporation has ever done in decades in this department
