Kakashi, asuma, and kurenai are right there and any of them would pack his gaara up at this moment. Maybe not shikaku is he came out but all of them stopped gaara in the blink of an eye when he tried to kill Lee. Any of them would mop him up no problem

The only Jonin that would probably struggle with Gaara is Kurenei because Jinchuraki are notoriously difficult to put under genjutsu which she specializes in. unless they have a completely shut out relationship with their tailed beast even sharingan genjutsu is pointless
