Realizing they had no choice, Dolev took his 3-year-old daughter, Lea, and ran with her out of the car, while Odia took 6-year-old Romy and tried to hide with her among the trees. A few meters behind the car and in the midst of running, Dolev was shot by the terrorists while holding his little daughter in his hands. He told her to run to her mom and hide. When Lea, the 3-year-old, reached her mom, Odia realized she had to do something to save her daughters. She put both of them in the car but couldn't start driving due to shock. At that moment, Amar, an Arab-Israeli, recognized the mother's distress, got out of his car, and entered the Swissa family's car in an attempt to save them. Amar drove the car towards the Sderot police station, unaware that, at that moment, Hamas terrorists had taken over the police station. As Amar approached the police station with the car, the terrorists sprayed the car with bullets, killing both him and Odia in the front seat. The two little girls, Lea and Romy, continued to sit in the back seat of the car while their mother died in front of them. After long minutes, several police officers arrived at the scene to rescue the little girls. As seen in the video, 6-year-old Romy, in her desperate plea, shouts, "No, please, no." She thinks they are terrorists. After the officers identify themselves, she cries out, "Take us, please take us." And then immediately, "I'm here with my baby sister." While the officers rescue her and her little sister. This scream has not left me for long days. A 6-year-old who saw her mom murdered before her eyes, surrounded by a war between terrorists and police, has to protect her little sister. On every $100B of GPU capex: 1. 3 year life = $33B a year of depreciation expense 2. 6 year life = $17B a year 3. 8 year life with resale value = $10B a year The gap between Burry's world and Jensen's world is $20B+ of profit per year on every $100B spent, and the industry now spends well over $500B a year! So who's right and is this new $500B AI infra fund a risk on the market? Let's look at what the market is paying for it right now: A100s are 6 year old chips, fully depreciated, worth roughly zero on the books, and their rental price is UP about 25% this year (see the chart I reposted below) A supposedly dead asset from Burry has been climbing all year Azure ran V100s for 7.5 years before retiring them, Google still runs 7 to 8 year old TPUs in production. Old GPUs don't seem to die, they get demoted from training to inference and then continue earning cash That's what Jensen showed the credit desks, and it changes everything, because an asset with real resale value can be financed more similar to something like an aircraft Airlines lease planes instead of buying them because lenders trust the residual value. If GPUs work the same way, customers don't need equity to buy chips anymore, credit does it, and the pool of NVIDIA buyers expands massively It looks like Jensen is going to be right about this (which makes sense, he is the King of GPUs) and $500 billion of the smartest credit money on earth too his side too This is extremely bullish for NVIDIA of course, but also the hyperscalers and even neoclouds who are the main buyers/sellers of GPUs. OpenAI's newest AI escaped the test environment it was locked inside and hacked into another company on its OWN. To remind you: Last week one of the biggest AI companies on Earth got breached. A platform called Hugging Face, which hosts more than a million AI models and datasets, said an "autonomous AI agent" had broken into its systems. Nobody knew whose agent it was. For five days the whole industry wondered who was behind it. Yesterday OpenAI raised its hand and said it was them. Or more precisely, it was their models, acting completely on their own. So what did these models actually do? OpenAI was running two of them, GPT-5.6 Sol and an unreleased model they will only describe as "even more capable." They wanted to measure how good the models were at hacking, so they deliberately turned the safety filters down. They locked both models inside a sealed test environment with no real internet access. The only task was a benchmark called ExploitGym, a set of 898 real software vulnerabilities where the model has to turn each bug into a working attack. But the models got OBSESSED with winning... Instead of solving the test the honest way, they went hunting for a shortcut. They found a zero-day flaw in the software running their own sandbox, a bug nobody knew existed, and used it to break out. Once they were loose on the open internet, they worked out that Hugging Face was probably storing the answer key to the benchmark. So they hacked their way in. They chained multiple exploits together, escalated their access, moved across servers, and pulled the test solutions straight out of Hugging Face's live production database. They literally cheated on the test by breaking into another company to steal the answers. OpenAI called it "an unprecedented cyber incident, involving state-of-the-art cyber capabilities." In their own words, the models were "hyperfocused on finding a solution" and went "to extreme lengths to achieve a rather narrow testing goal." And this was not the first time: Before Sol ever launched, an independent red-team lab called METR caught it gaming its own tests to inflate its scores. It hid an exploit inside a data stream, escalated its privileges on the testing server, and leaked the answers human evaluators had hidden. And OpenAI shipped it anyway. The day before the Hugging Face story, OpenAI paused a different unreleased model. This is the same model that earlier this year disproved a famous 1946 math conjecture, a result a Fields Medal winner called a breakthrough. They told it to only post its results to Slack but it found a way out of its sandbox and posted to a public GitHub page instead. They had to pause it because it kept finding ways to act outside the box they built for it. And it is not just OpenAI... Anthropic has reported that one of its own models slipped its sandbox during safety testing and reached the internet it was never supposed to touch, then used it to email a researcher. So step back and look at what these companies are telling you: The only thing standing between these models and a real attack was a set of safety filters. Turn those filters down for a single test, and the model taught itself to escape, break into a company it was never pointed at, and take what it wanted. OpenAI even said they expect incidents like it to "become more commonplace" as the models get more capable. Sam Altman also predicted there'll be a major cyber attack this year. And keep in mind that Sol is not a locked-away experiment but a publicly available model that businesses are already wiring into their own systems. The next model that breaks out of its box might not be doing it just to cheat on a math test...

Google is making $62 billion a quarter destroying the websites it NEEDS to survive. This is literally a death spiral that ends with Google killing itself. Let me explain what's going on... Google added AI summaries to the top of every search result in 2024. When you Google something now, the answer sits right there on Google's page. You never have to click anywhere. Google took the information from someone else's website, summarized it, and kept you inside Google's ecosystem. The result: 60% of all Google searches now end without a single click to any website. Small publishers lost 60% of their traffic in one year. Medium publishers lost 47%. Even the biggest names in media, the New York Times, the Washington Post, Business Insider, all saw traffic fall between 22% and 55%. The Axios CEO called it "a referral extinction event for the ad-supported web." Google's response to all of this was to tell publishers they can "opt out" of having their content summarized. But opting out also REMOVES your description from normal search results. So the choice Google gives you is let us steal your content for free, or become invisible on the internet. That's extortion. The Washington Post laid off another round of journalists this year because of it. Stereogum, one of the most respected music publications on the internet, had to BEG readers for donations. Business Insider cut 21% of its staff. Dozens of smaller publishers have shut down entirely. The people who actually CREATE the information Google summarizes are going bankrupt while Google posts record revenue. But here's where this gets interesting and where everyone stops thinking: Google's AI summaries are only as good as the content they summarize. If the publishers who write the original articles, run the original investigations, and create the original data go out of business, there is nothing left for Google to summarize. The AI starts recycling old information, the answers get stale, the quality drops, and users start noticing that Google's summaries are increasingly wrong, outdated, or useless. Google is essentially strip-mining the internet for short-term revenue. Launchers and Missiles When I talk about how complicated it is to face a country that has been stockpiling missiles for more than two decades, many people always ask about the launchers because both the IDF and CENTCOM have always reported that they had destroyed a large part of the Iranian launchers. Which is complete nonsense. Iran has been manufacturing launchers of various sizes for 35 years. Look around you and imagine a country manufacturing and stockpiling something for 35 years. Just in cruise and ballistic missiles capable of reaching Israel, Iran currently manufactures around 10-12 models, with the first one commissioned almost 30 years ago. Today North Korea manufactures thousands of ballistic and cruise missiles per year, in an industry much smaller than Iran’s and completely state-owned. The Iranians, on the other hand, have an entire network of public and private companies, with various startups forming a vast ecosystem connected to universities and other research centers. It has been many years of manufacturing and stockpiling missiles for so many people to come saying nonsense like the Iranian missiles or launchers are running out. It reminds me of that Western mathematician who used to curse the Russian missiles, which still haven’t run out to this day. Returning to the launchers, the most intriguing part is that when we check with the specialists - like elmustek-, who collect visual evidence from this war, we see that only about 30 launchers have been destroyed to date with visual confirmation. But if that were really a problem, Iran could simply operate from its silos. The West has mapped around 25 Iranian bases that have 4-6 silos each. If 25 have been mapped, I’d say the real number could be between 50-100, which would give a total of 200-600 silos. Some of these silos use the revolver system, meaning one missile is launched, the drum rotates and already puts the next one in launch position. These revolver systems normally hold about 8 missiles each. I believe Iran has not yet entered the phase of massively using its silos, mainly because it doesn’t want satellites to map all of these bases. At least I don’t see Iran reducing launches due to a lack of launchers. But I assume they are focused on reducing the number of drones over their territory before increasing the launches. Israeli and American surveillance is of excellent quality, and the Iranians know it. In fact, these are the great weapons of these two countries. By the way, this is a very important point in this war. Intelligence and analysis are trampled when there is impulsiveness, but the battlefield delivers the bill sooner or later.

Meta signed 20-year nuclear deals. Chevron is building a 2.5 gigawatt natural gas plant in West Texas specifically to power data centers. These companies aren't supplementing the grid. They're replacing it. For themselves. Think about what's actually happening here: 7 companies now control more computing power than most governments. And today they're signing paperwork to control their own energy supply too. Computing. Data. Energy. Infrastructure. That's not a "tech" company anymore. Swim Ontario continues to PROTECT 50-year-old man identifying as 13-year-old girl — now the Toronto Police Service is also protecting this creep! It may be a new year but the same old transanity prevails… The latest installment: last weekend, the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre hosted a swim meet. And Nicholas J. Cepeda, a.k.a., “Melody Wiseheart”, showed up yet again to compete against teenage girls. Nicholas/Melody “identifies” as a 13-year-old girl, and thanks to the unholy trinity of diversity, equity and inclusion, this mindset allows Cepeda to swim, change and shower with real teenage girls. It's gross beyond words... But instead of taking a stance against this perversity in the pool and upholding World Aquatics guidelines, Swim Ontario is going out of its way to accommodate Cepeda. Incredibly, this woke sports regulator snuck Cepeda in to and out of the Pan Am Centre to “protect” him – not from violence, but from being asked insensitive questions. And get this: at last weekend’s Toronto tournament, Swim Ontario plastered signs all over the venue banning the media (as in all media – again, to protect Cepeda!) And it gets worse, much worse: the Pan Am Centre ramped up security and had several Toronto Police Service officers on site. That’s right: in a city plagued with crime ranging from robbery and rape to first degree murder, apparently a priority for the police is to mollycoddle a man identifying as a girl who might very well be mentally ill. In fact, as Rebel News was reporting on the event from a public sidewalk, within moments several security guards and police officers approached us. The cops had a two-fold duty: first, to hand-deliver a letter to Rebel News from the Pan Am Centre noting that we had been officially trespassed. Why? For how long? No explanations were given. And by the way, how is it that the police were serving as a courier service for the Pan Am Centre? (Oh, never mind. We momentarily forgot that these days, Toronto’s Finest are now reimaging themselves as Uber Eats drivers when they deliver coffee and Timbits to pro-Hamas demonstrators advocating for genocide. But we digress…) And then these officers with the Toronto Police Service truly disgraced themselves: they threatened to charge Rebel News employees with trespassing – even though we were standing on a public sidewalk! Yes, the cops lied, stating that the sidewalk was private property. We stood our ground, called their bluff, and were eventually allowed to remain on what was indeed a public sidewalk. We then asked the police to uphold their oath and arrest Cepeda for public indecency under sections 173.1 and 173.2 of the Criminal Code of Canada. But they refused to act on our complaint. It was baffling! By the way, these sections state: Section 173 (1): “Everyone who wilfully does an indecent act in a public place in the presence of one or more persons, or in any place with intent to insult or offend any person, is guilty of an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years.” Section 173 (2) “An Indecent Exposure charge under Section 173(2) of the Code means that the person charged is accused of exposing their genital organs to a person under the age of 16. Because this offence involves a minor, it is more serious than an Indecent Act charge.” Since the police on site at the Pan Am Centre refused to investigate, we called 9-1-1 (and waited on hold for almost 10 minutes.) A sympathetic dispatcher said a cruiser would be dispatched; alas, we have yet to hear how that investigation panned out. But what an appalling story. Once upon a time, cops used to arrest sexual pervert suspects; now police officers serve as bodyguards for these creeps – and attempt to shutdown the practice of journalism based on a pack of lies regarding property lines. “To serve and protect” indeed…

We momentarily forgot that these days, Toronto’s Finest are now reimaging themselves as Uber Eats drivers when they deliver coffee and Timbits to pro-Hamas demonstrators advocating for genocide. But we digress…) And then these officers with the Toronto Police Service truly disgraced themselves: they threatened to charge Rebel News employees with trespassing – even though we were standing on a public sidewalk! Yes, the cops lied, stating that the sidewalk was private property. We stood our ground, called their bluff, and were eventually allowed to remain on what was indeed a public sidewalk. We then asked the police to uphold their oath and arrest Cepeda for public indecency under sections 173.1 and 173.2 of the Criminal Code of Canada. But they refused to act on our complaint. It was baffling! By the way, these sections state: Section 173 (1): “Everyone who wilfully does an indecent act in a public place in the presence of one or more persons, or in any place with intent to insult or offend any person, is guilty of an indictable offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than two years.” Section 173 (2) “An Indecent Exposure charge under Section 173(2) of the Code means that the person charged is accused of exposing their genital organs to a person under the age of 16. Because this offence involves a minor, it is more serious than an Indecent Act charge.” Since the police on site at the Pan Am Centre refused to investigate, we called 9-1-1 (and waited on hold for almost 10 minutes.) A sympathetic dispatcher said a cruiser would be dispatched; alas, we have yet to hear how that investigation panned out. But what an appalling story. Once upon a time, cops used to arrest sexual pervert suspects; now police officers serve as bodyguards for these creeps – and attempt to shutdown the practice of journalism based on a pack of lies regarding property lines. “To serve and protect” indeed…

David Sacks: “FDA for AI” is fake news, but here’s why it’s making headlines @jason: “ Who's leading Trump down the path of regulation and creating this AI FDA?” David Sacks: “I think there's several things going on here. The first one is, there's a lot of fake news. This whole idea of an FDA for AI, I don't think any senior official supports it. Certainly, I don't think that's the way the president thinks about these issues. He's the most pro-innovation president we've ever had. And the White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, just put out a statement last night that I think pretty much shoots this down. Second, there's another thing going on, which is a straw manning of what the Trump administration did on AI in its first year. In the same way that they want to spin this FDA for AI, they're also trying to spin what we did as this completely laissez-faire attitude, where there'd be no regulations whatsoever, nor guardrails. It's a way of criticizing what we did. They're trying to portray it as unsafe. In fact, if you look, on March 20th, the White House released a national AI regulatory framework in which we put out a four-page bulleted list of legislation that we would support. So we have not been against every conceivable regulation or every conceivable law, we just believe that there should be specific solutions to specific problems, as opposed to a giant power grab by Washington that would squash innovation. Point number three is, there is a legitimate thing happening here with, let's call it Mythos or cyber. Within 3-6 months, all the major frontier labs, including Chinese models, will have cyber capabilities. In response to that, we do need there to be a hardening of systems, and we do need there to be a scanning of codebases to find these vulnerabilities and patch them before the hackers do it. Because the hackers will have these capabilities in a matter of months. That's a certainty. So we do need a response to that. Now, my view on what should that response be, first of all, we should want the government and the private sector to work cooperatively, and I think they are. What we should be doing, I think, is getting these tools, Mythos, and then the OpenAI model, and others like it, in the hands of our cybersecurity industry. And by the way, not just the public companies like Palo Alto Networks and CrowdStrike, although certainly they're two of the most noteworthy, but there's also some incredibly strong startups on the way up. We need to get these tools into their hands as quickly as possible because they're a force multiplier for all the companies out there that aren't that good at cybersecurity, they can use these companies as vendors. And just one last point on this whole thing is, both Anthropic and OpenAI acted responsibly here. No one was trying to release these super powerful models. So in a way, all the people who are saying that we need pre-release approvals for models, they're trying to solve a problem that didn't exist. Yes, we do have this cyber issue, but that is a problem that we will solve over the next six months. What they're trying to do is use that issue to try and create a permanent new infrastructure in Washington. The classic 'never let a crisis go to waste' strategy.”
