Emancipation Day calls us to remember one of the most consequential turning points in our history. On August 1, 1838, our ancestors secured their freedom after generations of bondage, through courage, resistance and endurance. The strongest tribute we can pay them is to use our freedom well by strengthening our families, protecting our communities and continuing the work of building a Jamaica where freedom is supported by opportunity, rights by responsibility and hope by purposeful action. It's not about race or religion. It's about culture and law and order. If we preserve British law and order we then preserve British lives. The British law and order is intertwined with British culture. This gives us our freedom, gives us a fair trial and gives us safety and security. It's a huge law and order problem, and our British culture is being suppressed. When it's suppressed this leads to frustration, anger and violence.

Ossoff: We've got Americans coming back from overseas in flag-draped coffins. In the last two weeks, nearly 100 wounded in action, at least four killed in action, in a war that they lied us into. They told us there was an imminent nuclear threat, a year after they told us they'd obliterated the threat. They told us in the second week they'd already destroyed the enemy. They told us over and over and over again that they'd won. That they were about to win…They keep telling us it's going to last just a couple more days, just a couple more weeks. And all of this incompetence is costing lives, and it's costing families across the country economically who are dealing with these out-of-control tariffs, who are dealing with gas prices.

Our journey—my daughter Rafif, my brother Mahmoud, and I—was simply to obtain our most basic right: treatment and medicine for Rafif’s eye, which the doctor prescribed. We walked under a sky filled with drones, fear surrounding us from every direction. Yet we still hold on to life… we only want to receive treatment so we can continue.
