Here are the facts, for those who don't know: Eric Schmitt "The Bed" (cause middle name nicknames go at the end if you're MAGA) used a Congressional hearing to pump up recent speculation that he's gonna be Vance's running mate choice by claiming Jack Smith perjured himself by stating he did not attend an Atlanta Hawks game (implying - without any evidence - that Smith then went and colluded w/ Fani Willis in Georgia about Trump's felonies there). Schmitthead did so by pointing to some texts he "obtained" that he went to Kinko's and blew up onto a posterboard showing Smith was at a basketball game. In real time - during the hearing - it was proven that Smith was ~650 miles away at an Iowa Hawkeyes game - not an Atlanta Hawks game. There are pictures of Smith at the game. He's in section 109, row 1. It was such an awful Holy Schmitt Self Own that Katie Britt - herself not exactly known for her erudite mentality - was caught mouth agape on a closeup as she realized what a massive Schmittstorm this guy was creating for himself. Sen. Amy Klobuchar then effectively ended Schmittforbrains's career by publicly identifying how he had the entirely wrong game and state, and his accusations of perjury were defamatory and slanderous.
