NEW: Pregnant woman airlifted by the US Coast Guard from a Disney cruise ship 180 miles northwest of Puerto Rico in the Atlantic Ocean. The woman was rescued by crew on a Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter. A rescuer rappelled down from the helicopter and strapped the woman to a gurney before taking her to the Centro Medico Hospital in Puerto Rico. The woman was reportedly suffering from medical complications that "required a higher level of medical care" than what was on board the ship.

The Turkish vessel Lutuf,hijacked by pirates on Monday,was carrying communications and satellite equipment reportedly destined for a Turkish missile-testing facility at Warshikh on Somalia’s Indian Ocean coast. After seizing the vessel,the pirates moved it to a concealed position along the Puntland coast,anchoring it between two mountainous formations that made it difficult to detect from the air. Turkish drones searching for the Lutuf were initially unable to pinpoint its exact location. The breakthrough reportedly came on Tuesday,when surveillance drones spotted a small boat carrying two men heading out to sea from the coast. The drones followed the boat until it approached the Lutuf, apparently to deliver Qat to the pirates on board. As the boat subsequently headed back toward shore,it was struck by a Turkish drone. Four men were reportedly killed in the strike,including two pirates who had disembarked from the Lutuf and boarded the small boat. (Warshikh site below)

Cuba's coast guard killed four people on a speedboat from Florida who opened fire off the Cuban coast on Wednesday, the interior ministry in Havana said. The people were armed and shooting at Border Guard Troops as they approached, according to Cuban authorities. It is not clear who was in the Florida-registered speedboat, where they were from, or what their reason was for entering Cuban waters or allegedly opening fire. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said the U.S. government doesn't have other information besides what the Cuban authorities have said. But, as CBS News' Lilia Luciano notes, this incident comes 30 years after the Cubans killed four people from the Hermanos al Rescate group, who were attempting to help Cuban refugees get to the U.S.
