27 years ago this week, Ghostbusters was first released on DVD, featuring what many still consider one of the greatest interactive menus ever seen on the platform.

This was the first DVD I owned. The commentary track had silhouettes like MST3K. I thought all DVD commentaries would be like that. I have been disappointed ever since.

This, along with John Carpenter’s The Thing were the 1st two dvd’s I ever purchased. And both remain amongst my fav dvd’s of all time.

The one I had didn't have the scenes from the movie on the sides of the building and Stay Puft didn't wiggle back and forth as he walked. I remember 2 had the Statue of Liberty. I had the DVD two pack.

Have it! This is another reason physical media is king, especially when it comes to film. A good release with special features, commentaries and all that is the best. Streaming will never replace it. Also, the quality difference is very noticeable.

It was so cool seeing Staypufft walk through the menu screen for the first time.

With like three real ghostbusters episodes in the extras. You don’t see that kind of love of the game in dvds or blu rays anymore.

I have this one. Classic DVD.

I bought my very first dvd player and ghostbusters with this menu came free along with seven and mask of zorro still have them but not the player it was a Philips, thanks for the memory

I'm still mad my original GB DVDs got lost somewhere and I had to buy the green 2 pack as a replacement. The menus just weren't as fun

Didn't know that Ghostbusters DVD was that old....

The 4K remasters are nice, but I do wish they had an updated version of this menu. Blu-Ray is absolutely capable of making this even more dynamic and cool
