I rememeber Mouri’s dub line “you shouldn’t have done that” guy was more overt warning the guy of the beat down he was gonna get. Great scene all around

this anime drifted away from the primary story but almost every episode was entertaining which is why to me it's okay it's over 1000 episodes unlike One Piece that just repeats the same exact story over and over with nothing interesting.

I often forget this but despite their circumstances, Ran’s Dad and Shinichi are in fact pretty capable. Shinichi can kick a soccer ball so hard as a teen he concussed a man. And the dad is a trained in Judo and one of the greatest marksmen during his time in the force.

Loved this series growing up. One of my first and most long read mangas as a kid too, days at the library (our libraries always had manga, bless them<3), jamming to music and reading the volumes... good times. :]
