From my personal experience any excellent Windows ultrabook will do - just do a clean install and you’re good to go. My 8th Gen Core i7 HP EliteBook with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB nVME SSD works excellently for everything I use it for. I agree with the smartphone and ergonomic mouse.

My cyborg 15 A13V by MSI is faster and more powerful than any MacBook… expensive too. 32gb ram and 512gb so not all windows laptops are terrible. Get your facts well

If windows is slow get Linux you mustn’t use MacBook to experience speed or better performance

Not everybody is into the same line of work. It’s better to use gaming laptops for rendering jobs or things that are more dependent on dedicated graphics So I think it’s quite a subjective take
