1. I thought about this song a lot when I was younger. All these important people and events- some that disappeared into the sands of time- others that changed the world forever.

If this snippet is indicative, and it may not be, the song lacks the cultural insight, sharpness and bite of @billyjoel’s original, which caught the ethos of each segment in a uniquely bundled expression of the war, chaos and confusion of late 20th century times.

You're just listing things.

This has to be the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen.

I like falloutboy, but this just doesn't hit any notes that the original did. It's out of order. the majority is just stating things or nouns with no brief explanational lyrics like Billy joel did, and some of these aren't even really relevant + it doesnt have that emotional feel
