I genuinely cannot understand how someone can watch this story and still stand there, looking at two women, and somehow decide that the wrong one is the victim. On one side, you have a girl (Yıldız) who has been mistreated her entire life. Since the moment she was born, she was treated like a sacrifice for a conflict she was never even part of and later we find out that this conflict never even existed. Her right to study was taken from her. She was pushed into a marriage at a very young age just imagine being six, seven, eight years old, living in fear of being tied to someone you don’t even know. She was treated like a servant in her own home, by the very people she thought were her family. And just when she gets close to the happiness she dreamed of, the man she was engaged to shows up with another wife. She gets mistreated by that wife, by his family, and even (unintentionally) by him, because he was trying to run away from his own feelings, and that only caused her more heartbreak. The whole world was literally against her. She fought through all of that, only to find out in the end that everything she suffered for was based on something that wasn’t even real. Her entire life was built on a lie. That she isn’t even part of that family that she has literally no one in this world. Now on the other side… You have a girl (Melek) who, yes, was taken from her biological mother but she was raised by loving parents. She had everything anyone could wish for: education, freedom, a happy childhood, a healthy environment. She lived her life, fell in love, went out, made choices and no one questioned her, no one controlled her. And then what did she do? She found out that her man was engaged to another woman before marrying her (and even saw him marry her) and instead of holding on to her dignity, she chose to stay, to fight for a man who lied to her, to hold onto a marriage he tried to end multiple times. She used her unborn child to keep him tied to her. She lied constantly, and her excuse was that she was “protecting her marriage” a marriage that was already broken from the moment Serhat removed that ring at the airport in episode one. She tried to hand Yıldız (a woman who had already suffered enough) over to dangerous people. Then she found out the truth about her own birth (that her father ra*ped her mother.)And still no empathy. No moment of humanity toward her own mother. All she cared about was herself. And even though none of this had anything to do with Yıldız, she still found a way to blame it on her. Instead of holding her father accountable, she went and made a deal with him to get rid of Yıldız. She literally made a deal with the devil just to hurt Yıldız one more time. And after all of that… you want me to feel sorry for her? You want me to call her a victim? I honestly cannot believe we are living on the same planet with people who see this and still say, “she’s the victim.” Not morally. Not logically. Not emotionally. 🚛 She was scared by a truck and fell off a bridge where she got stuck for days. Locals alerted us and we managed to save her. 😟 Bridget has been terrified for 2 months. With very poor eyesight she finds human touch very hard. She also avoided all the other dogs. She mostly spent her time alone in corners hiding. ⏰ We had to put in about 100 man hours to build her confidence back up. She had to be as brave as we were patient. 🏡 We’ve seen some signs lately she is coming out of her shell. She moved into the little play house as her own. That was a huge step for her. We also see her tail wagging. ❤️ The biggest surprise this morning was seeing her sharing the bamboo hut with Tofu. He’s the same as her with poor eyesight and a frail old body. They could have chosen anywhere else to spend the night and they normally do so away from all other dogs. But last night they let their guard down and found great comfort in each other. I can explain how proud I am of little Bridget. I look forward to seeing her get more and more relaxed and her relationship with tofu blossom ❤️

Britney Spears is our longest resident here at Happy Doggo after I rescued her 2.5 years ago. Today she was getting some big news which is remarkable considering her back story… 🔓 She was dumped in the jungle with her puppies. She was incredibly vicious. We think she could have been used for fighting 🦷 She bit 2 other volunteers 🏡 The only place she could stay was with me. She caused mayhem attacking snoop, Jumbo and a friend. 📅 For the first year I was pretty much the only one who could handle her. 🌴 She came to the land and had many fights with other dogs. She was learning but she kept letting herself down 🛵 I developed a system of running her which she loves. Its when she would come alive and feel free 🧍‍♂️ She expanded her circle of humans slowly and now is friends with about 20 people. She also has some dog friends. ✅ It’s been 6 months since Britney had any sort of fight or incident. She is very loving now. We are still careful but she has calmed down So after 2.5 years I promised Britney 2025 is the year she would get her own forever home. She will do great but it will need to be a very specialized home and we’ll have to do it slowly and carefully. I wouldn’t even attempt it if I didn’t think it was right but it is. Britney has finally gotten to a place where she needs to be. The land is great for her but a home is always even better. This won’t happen overnight but it will in 2025. I’ve promised her. Anybody who has followed from the start knows how big a deal this is. Also how cool is Britney’s new camera attachment. Best present ever she said 🎁

Maggie Moo was separated from from her mother shortly after birth. The herd had been rounded up by the Ranchers but she was still too young to move. I remember the mother crying out trying to stay with her calf when they were being rounded up but the dogs and cowboys drove her away. Maggie Moo was probably hidden in a bush and went unnoticed. It was probably about a week later I was out in the garden and noticed the lone calf standing at the fence staring at me with despair. She had been starving without any milk for the past week and had been drinking muddy water to survive. I realised what had happened and went to approach the calf with a leash. She didn’t run and I put the leash around her neck but she was too weak to even move. I picked her up, put her over my shoulders and carried her up the hill to the house. I gave her milk, washed her, and she slept in the yard. I got in contact with the rancher and told them what had happened and for them to come and get her. They told me that I saved the calf’s life and so she belonged to me now. Long story short she survived and is full grown and healthy. She now lives her best life in a pasture with her Horse friends. One of the first women that Rachelle met in the clubs had never interacted with a Christian. This woman grew up in extreme poverty, extreme abuse, and her family was in a cult. When she turned 18, they not only sold her to an older man, but also forced her to go into the strip club. When Rachelle met her, she was 18 years old and had no idea that there was kindness in the world. Rachelle began getting to know her and showing up in small ways.
