Two brilliant details about this goal: Beckham had practised shooting at an empty net from the halfway line almost every day in training. And the boots he scored it in weren’t even made for him - they were prototype Predators made for Rangers’ Charlie Miller, with “CHARLIE” embroidered on the tongue. Quite a way to announce yourself.
