Today the Gauteng Government awarded completion certificates to more than 2 500 participants of the Unemployed Youth Skills Development Initiative (UYSDI) in Soweto. These learners participated in various skills training programmes across 71 Technical High Schools in Gauteng, including plumbing, electrical work, welding, painting and other artisan-related trades under the UYSDI programme. The UYSDI aims to equip unemployed youth with practical, job-ready skills aligned to high-demand and labour-intensive sectors of the economy.
