300k for a Blazer is wild
40 Yorum

Good ol' Barrett Jackson - where drunk rich people go to show off their wallets and inflate the value of the classic car market.

Accurate

Overpriced slop.... I'd rather buy a Blazer that is from the late '90s honestly. There's no such thing as good quality anymore and it's a shame

It really is a shame

IKR... The next car I want to get honestly is a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ7

@washghost1 Yeah I had a 1987 CJ7 wrangler as my 1st car. That thing was such a machine, back when they made wranglers with good quality parts and good steel. The 79 Chevy SUVs are awesome! My granddad had one and he loved that thing as much as he did his 1982 international scout

Why did they record this entire phone call from start to finish. Totally staged for social media.

"I don't care if Hulk Hogan built it. I don't care if Dwayne The Rock Johnson built it - it aint worth $300k" lol that had me rolling!! 😂

This is crazy. My daily driver for the last 20 years is a k5. 12 years ago I did a full rebuild. I have about $50k into it (over 20 years) and I paid for the work.

"I don't care if hulk Hogan built it" 😂😂😂😂

😭🤣🤣

Oh look, a sales bro being a sales bro. They’re the absolute worst to deal with.

If it is a 1967 K5 Blazer, then it is the only one in the world. They didn't start making Blazer's until 1969

They’re both correct, there are people that will pay that and he could certainly do it cheaper.

There’s so many millionaires and billionaires out there now willing to pay huge prices for classic cars and trucks. That’s what’s driven the pricing up on classic autos to obscene amounts. There’s probably $200,000 profit built into that K5. People will pay it.

It's a Hogan K5... there's probably less than 10 still in the world... $300K is a fair price. The last one I saw sold for $360K

Lol dude on the phone was 100% right. Dude walking around the dealership is wrong lol.

People can ask whatever they want for a vehicle, you have a choice to buy it or not. Stfu and quit crying over someone else’s shit. Don’t buy the mfkr then. Southern accents and arrogance do not mix well.

330k for a blazer! That's criminal

Sounds like a money laundering scheme to me.

Out of their damn mind… I do miss my 81 bronco… sold it for $500 when my first kid was born so I could make a beautiful nursery she never slept in 😭

These are fake right

Thanks Obama. Literally. Cash for Clunkers was horrible.

C10 / classic GM truck guy here. It’s not my thing but that’s market value on a Hogan build. Guessing this is a staged call and if so they’re both d-bags because they didn’t build K5’s until ‘69! 🙄😂. And $40k and building shit! Hell I have $22k (in a line item spreadsheet down to the bolt) into this patina rusty LS swapped beater. And I got the body free and had the engine engine laying and had no labor costs. Your starting point for a pos ‘69-72 k5 with a title is $20k before you blow it apart and spend $40-50k on rust, paint and body.

I don’t care if you can eat off the thing it’s still a 67! No way it’s in the 300 club! No way!

Negative...unless it's like a batmobile with armor plating equipped with flamethrowers...then maybe 🦇

He’s not wrong. But if a man can put together the same truck for less why haggle with these people.

The guy on the phone is right.

That's why every yum yum with a rusty old piece of crap in their backyard thinks it's worth 10 grand and it hasn't even seen the road in 15 years. They probably actually have $400,000 into the build on that K5.

Everyone should call and waste this guys time and tell him how stupid 300k is for that vehicle

You can't get a mint '72 K5 for $40K but $300K, cmon. Market rate for clean, restored '70-'72s are around $70K-$90K.

Anyone else think "hogan" or "singer" or "et al" offers kick backs or other incentives to people who over pay at auction thus inflating the price the build can charge in the future?

This shit is so fake it bothers me.

I used to build chassis for these cars. They would modernize the suspension/brakes/handling/etc. There were dudes paying 30-40k for some of these chassis alone. One guy ordered ceramic brakes and iPad controlled tunable shocks. I think just those two items were 30k without the chassis.

If you start with a fair condition stock truck and pay someone to do a full frame off, you're looking at 150-200k for time and material. I'm doing a '74 C10 right now that's mostly stock and it's 100k+ with me doing everything except the motor and body/paint.

Rich people pricing everyone else out of the classics is evil.

People will pay a lot for a vehicle that they grew up with their dad with I would pay a lot for a Torino.

If that’s the case someone can buy my bronco for 150k. It’s a steal.

Total con! There is nothing that can be done to make a K-5 is worth that much.

That f’er better have a race ready Hendrick motor and transmission in it for $300k.
