Masterminds behind the project

Government should be gathering such talent to create a better something for this country

Nice 👍 It uses an arduino and proximity sensor, the issue with this idea is that it will always beep when you are in a busy place because there will always be obstacles everywhere. It would be more feasible if there’s some kind of integrated Ai intelligence to avoid “false positives” in other words, the walking stick should be made smart

Chinese companies calling him.

300L Computer Engineering students, from ABU Zaria, Northern Nigeria.. Group 8, have developed an electronic walking aid for the visually impaired. If it’s negative narrative you’ll be the first to add a region. Hypocrites.

Nothing concern this gender... Just bring camera let them clock it. Cus warrisdis 😂

You people are very useless and stupid news outlet. Mention his school and state. Rubbish media

This is brilliant and could be sold. If it was in USA, Amazon will buy this. It’s practical for real 😧 ‼️‼️‼️‼️

This is very impressive. The walking stick solved all possible problems the blind man may faced. What made it more interesting is the stick telling the blind man what is in his front

ABU or nothing

300l Computer Engineering from Ahamdu Bello University Zaria

Incredible😍🤩, omo this will be Luxurious at the end. Great innovation in Just they don't steal the ideal from him

Who is the minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY in Nigeria? Can he not see this? @FmstNg

Please remind me of the post 10 years from now 😁😁…. It’s would be found In the trash somewhere

You bastard hypocrite! Can't you add the school? This is Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, where y'all thought they don't study or they aren't serious! If it were to suit a bad narrative now, you would add the school, the state, the region, and even the tribe! Bastard

Nigerians are very talented it's just that the system is not helping at all. But then the media outlet is biased for not giving due credit to the school and name of tye students.

Most people are just mentioning government, I understand but we shouldn't forget that the government can not be everywhere, individuals and private multimillion and billion firm are also not helping out too.

I hope these guys can patent this product and take it to @ABCSharkTank or a Nigerian version of the show This is brilliant 👏🏼👏🏼

future improvements add a voice alert system to alert user depending on the obstacle it's facing

My group ❤️

Honestly we are blessed with brilliant and innovative people in this country all they need is the best support to level up👏🏽👏🏽

Talents full Nigeria 🇳🇬 🙌 👏.

Even if you don't state the region this time, at least, they study in a university that has a name (Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria). meanwhile this same handle will be quick to include names, ethnicity, and religion if it was a negative involvement.

Impressive

If that small puddle of water triggers its sensors, how would it tell the difference between a significantly larger water pool and a small puddle

Instead of it beeping, I’ll rather have it vibrate using ERM motor.

@Official_Hydar No name of institution no names of the group of 8, Yiu chose to hide their identity simply because they are Northerners and you hate them so well

When this is done it will be too expensive for the common man And I just hope he receives the backing needed to make this a global good cause that's a good idea

From ABU Zaria.

This our project

FutMinna don do this project tire. We have it in our Mechatronics and Computer Engineering labs. Prof. Aibinu research group developed this more than 10yrs ago

300L students dey build sensor stick, my own 300L project na photocopy of last year own. shame catch me

Brilliant work from these students. Tackling real-world accessibility challenges with practical engineering is exactly how we drive real innovation forward. At NaturFund, we love supporting and celebrating young Nigerian builders who build practical solutions to local problems.

Please this needs to be made Big. it is needed in the society. Recently, I saw a blind man walking on the busy road alone while trying to cross with his walking stick. He felt so helpless.

This is amazing! I hope the students don't stop at this stage. They should see how it can be patented (if it's their invention) and gain massive adoption in the wider world.
