He adds, "Recently, at Davos, when I shared this model with semiconductor industry leaders, they were very happy about it and believe that the 1 million talent gap in the semiconductor industry will largely be filled by talent from India... In the recent budget, the entire IT services industry has undergone various simplifications. Whether it is getting the APS done or getting the safe harbour clause properly defined, all those things are in place. Today, the industry aims to enter India in a big way. Whatever progress we have seen in the last few years will accelerate with the announced reforms..."

All the chips currently in use in passports, Aadhaar cards, and payment cards are imported. There are high chances of security and data breaches. At L&T, we will develop those chips for the security protocol. These chips will be released within 1.5 years. These chips will be used in passports, credit cards, and Aadhar cards, which will become electronic, and all payment gateways... The government already has plans to make new passports with electronic chips, so as soon as the chips are ready, passports will be made using these chips..."

China finished Gaokao yesterday. It is the exam 13 million students take for admission in Universities. Here they are touching the number 985 & 211 for good luck. Policemen with badges & cars of those numbers & especially standing to rub the luck on students. 985- number of elite universities 211- China’s top universities How happy kids and policemen are. No checking, no paper leaks, no unnecessary extra stress on students before exam. And btw, Indian paper leaks made global news & China too knows about it. In some posts they have started to mention how they conduct such large examinations.

#WATCH | India AI Impact Summit 2026 | Delhi: Founder Chairman and CEO of Sampark Foundation & former CEO of HCL Technologies, Vineet Nayar says, "...From an employment point of view I think it is very important for us to understand that Indian companies, including Indian IT companies, are going to be profit-driven and therefore if you believe that they are going to create employment you must be dreaming. Therefore, the question is how do we create employment in this environment, and that employment comes from mass scale startups, which is what this government has already doing. So, how do we create new sets of people who are trying to solve new sets of problems not new sets of technology and if we do that we will get it right. I think we as Indians have to be very careful on who does data belong to and that is the debate we have a problem with. The LLM models which exist worldwide are far superior than the Indian models. Unfortunately, in India, we never develop products, so therefore we do not have SLMs and LLMs which are world-class. On one side, we have global LLM products which are coming to India and trading on our Indian data. Should we allowed that or should we not allowed that? But on the other side if we don't allow that then we have the data but we don't have the LLM models. So, how do we encourage technology completely to develop the LLM models. This needs radicals strategic thinking and a very important aspect otherwise we will either give up a data. So, I think it's a very critical aspect for us to think about - who does this data belong, what is the kind of incentives we are going to give to develop LLM technologies or SLM technologies fast so that we train on our data otherwise an LLM will come in with our data and we'll immediately see return and we'll celebrate and we will do all these kind of press releases but the India will lose a competitive advantage on something which is very critical for the next decade."

We started slowly with images and saw an enormous interest in tools like Midjourney, DALL-E, or Leonardo. Now, a bit more than a year later, we find ourselves in front of new technologies that are transforming our way of life, how we create, and how we consume content. ChatGPT is rapidly replacing Googling, and all the generative AI tools are replacing all the stock photos and videos, with tools like Runway enabling storytelling for everyone. And we won't take over Hollywood. We will surpass it in ways we can't even imagine right now. We'll be able to create worlds and stories beyond our wildest imagination. Generative AI is enabling creative people to go 1000x on what was possible before. At the core of everything we'll still need human creativity, and we have to understand that AI tools without it will be nothing.
