34 years ago today, ‘Sailor Moon’ premiered.

Fighting evil by moonlight

@staytoonedfolks Those opening twinkles will always send nostalgic chills through me. Herstory was made on this day. 🌙

At least post the intended opening.

The beginning of an era. ❤️

The first Magical Girl Anime I watched before knowing what anime is.

Obsessed with the old 90s version dub. 😍🥰🫶🏻

Not this version. Original Sailor Moon and DiC Sailor Moon are so vastly different they shouldn't even count as the same show.

tbh I never grew up with sailor moon (dic) only seeing the jokes or tropes from other shows (mostly the long transformations or uniform) but I see it was so loved and got me so hooked! she is the one named sailor moon the queen of moon and other magical girl shows!

Yessss the English version!! The best version

That’s the intro to the DIC dub

@ToonHive Sailor Moon is one of my favorite cartoons since my childhood. I always watched it on Cartoon Network in my country of Ecuador, Guayaquil. It is super exciting to remember those good old days. It is incredible. I love it.🤩😊🥲❤️📺🇪🇨

I grew up watching this....not even ashamed to say this show made me cry...SO many times.

The Sailor Moon theme is still unbelievably catchy, even after all these years. It’s one of those songs that sticks with you long after childhood hear just a few notes and it all comes rushing back. Some classics never lose their magic. Actually I'm surprise there has not be a live action remake yet.

MY CHILDHOOD

@bibimarinho_16 e vidas foram mudadas

SERIOUSLY?!?! That’s how old I am now that my birthday passed a little while ago!🤩🤩🤩🤩🥳🥳 And Sailormoon will forever be my most loved cartoon!!!!

The original Japanese theme is such a banger! And you can really appreciate the baseline.
