Remember when developers actually optimized their games, rather than expecting people to use these dog shit frame gen implementations which almost always make the game look like a horrific mess?? There's a reason the only footage they used was slow walking around lmao.

I love DLSS and Frame gen! I turn it on in every game. I don't care if they are fake, they feel pretty good to use, I start noticing stuff is wrong at x4 FG though, so I keep it at 3

Ppl that call frame gen fake fps are brokies w shit PCs that never tried it, it's the only way to play games with heavy ray tracing on smooth fps

Me when I hate on frame gen for fun, have tried games for long times with and without, the visual smoothness is there u feel like ur on the fps u see, ur input is just not at that fps which doesn't matter for single player games and u won't even feel it

@etheritarian @Naruvt0 No matter how much they optimize their games, PCs are limited, even a 5090 on a super optimized game with max graphics and RT won't be able to keep consistent high fps, unless u play on a 60hz or maybe 144hz with a maxed out PC, then frame gen is the only option

Thanks to the "fake fps" im able to play +200fps with a qhd monitor and every setting to the highest, i really aprecciate games/companies that learn to use new performance caracteristics given by the hardware companies

6x frame gen

I don't know how anyone likes anything higher than 3x FG. I personally use 2x FG with the game capped to my refresh rate using RTSS to help with performance. DLSS 4.5 is actually good upscaling technology, but using any FG in a showcase is truly stupid. They used 6x.

Better than nothing, they’d have to do a full api rebuild for PC and Console and Mobile if they want each game to be optimized to platform, that’s practically building 3 games

To be fair you nitpicked. They allegedly addressed the core bottleneck CPU issue. They even phrased it "changing programming language", which probably means moving from JS to C# for script layer.

I do like Frame Gen. But we reach a point where its ridicolous, if you need a fucking TIMES 6 frame gen to go above 200, you can tell how ridicilously shit the game runs normally. These people talk shit in any community for breadcrumbs, but defend their own game not giving a shit

Frame gens on single player games aren't bad tbh but anything over 2x is just too much that you can easily notice artifacts and input latency

I own RTX4090 since 2022. It's not a fake FPS because it is still refreshing that number of Frames Per Second... for non-techie vocal andys, it's basically AI generated frames from lower resolution

Framegen x6 is unplayable
