Stevie Ray Vaughan. The man we lost 34 years ago on this day in a terrible accident. He's one of the best guitar players and blues musicians in the world. Many guitar players admired his playing and in are influenced by him. His songs, his technique, and playing on that fretboard was just beyond everything. Throughout his life, he frequently mentioned that he was influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Albert King, and many others. Today marks the 34th anniversary of his death, let's remember the legendary guitarist SRV all together. Stevie Ray Vaughan performing a song he called 'Texas Flood' which was released within the same-titled album by his band SRV & Double Trouble in 1983. For many years of his career Stevie Ray Vaughan struggled with drug and alcohol addiction. In the fall of 1986 Stevie's addiction became so bad that he was met with the crossroads of life or death. He had been hospitalized twice within a span of a few days and his health was rapidly declining. He chose to save himself and entered rehab, successfully completing the program in November, 1986. At the time of his death in 1990, Stevie was almost four years sober when he tragically lost his life ina helicopter crash. While performing "Life Without You" in New Orleans, 1988, Stevie gave a powerful speech to the audience about his sobriety and the dangers that drugs caused him. If you are in a hard place right now, listen to his words and enjoy the solo that follows.

🐱 when beomgyu hyung first came up, it was during that heavy snow in seoul. i still remember it, we finished the practice late at night and went out, and it was his first time seeing that much snow. he loved it so much 🐱he was jumping around all excited while i kept slipping and just found it annoying since i already saw that much snow many times 🐱so i thought “he really has such a pure soul” 🐱 do you remember, hyung? that time you and i went home together? that time, after late night practice, we went out and had a snowball fight. i remember it so clearly 🧸💬 back then our practice room was in the basement 🧸💬 so when we came up the stairs, snow was piled up and there were yellow streetlights were shining 🧸💬 it was so full of romance 🧸💬 the fact that you remember that is legendary
