38 years ago today, ITV ended their Euro ‘88 coverage with this underrated montage of the tournament, set to the sound of George Michael and Aretha Franklin. Wonderful, wonderful stuff.

So many absolute legends in the one clip. No wannabes, just deadset real footballers who we're there for the game and not the fame. Miss those days. The young of today just don't know what they're missing.

I don’t remember the tournament. I do know Aretha and Yog never met for the vocals or video. Career defining for Franklin the pleasure working with the pantyhose dropping generational talent Georgios. Gentleman always! 🤣
