Since I’ve started my journey on social media I’ve had to confront a lot of things about myself and my life, the most difficult ones of all being my trauma and my addictions I was using to cope with that trauma. This year I got serious about recovery and so I’ve really had to face the darkest parts of myself and accept them and learn how to live with myself without turning to temporary comforts to avoid the pain. I made this video as an artistic representation of that journey and how I’ve been coming to terms with myself. It’s not easy and it’s still something that I have to choose every day. I’ve felt like giving up so many times over my lifetime but I know that it’s worth it, because I’ve fought so hard to come this far, and because I know that facing my darkness effects all of you for better or for worse, and I want my impact on the world to be a positive one. You all inspire me every day to keep fighting, keep growing, and to never stop believing in myself. I continue to share my progress in my recovery after this massive stroke and the coma and pneumonia that kept me in the hospital for over three months in the beginning of the year I hope that by sharing my experience strength and hope, I can help others who’ve been through something similar. That you are not alone!!! I admit it is an absolute miracle that I am here with you. So I am smiling and willing to do whatever it takes to improve my health. And As in every day I have to thank you for the prayers and support that helped carry me through and this far.

I found my trainer Jay Schroeder and started an unorthodox training program that tested me physically, emotionally, and psychologically to level I could have never imagined. I lived by the mantra that: Your will to PREPARE for success had to be far greater than your desire for success. I went all in, committed my heart and soul, and 5 years later - 25 years ago - I had my chance to show the NFL how far I’d come. In 2009, after two back surgeries, my doctors told me I would never walk again without the assistance of a cane or walker. I gave up. l wrote out my suicide note and was ready to end it all. But, in that moment, my three-year-old son Matthew walked into my bedroom and saved my life. I truly believe it was an intervention from God. After that moment, I cried out to God and told him that if he showed me the way, I would put in the hard work to dig myself out of that bed and dig my family out of poverty. My mindset changed. I kept remaking this and fixing so much that I am on the edge of giving up and accepting that my rig will never be okay :] I am not taking rig comms from now on. And will try to improve my skills first... Live2d as a whole started to just feel frustrating to me.. and i would rather just disappoint myself with low quality rig than others... I am really sorry to all my rig kids... You deserve better...
