Scholars like Newton saw their scientific work as a way to glorify God by uncovering the divine laws governing the natural world.

We have no evidence for most of these intermediate forms in the fossil record. Worse, there is no known biological or materialistic mechanism that can account for huge jumps of genome information - the kind necessary to create new body plans - without also destroying embryonic development.
